Caroline, Molina, and I were walking through a casual dress shop picking out winter clothing and other things they saw as necessary to them looking cute. It was mostly them picking out clothes and trying them on and the other giving a yah or a nay. They wanted to act like I had a say in what they picked, but it didn't feel like it. None of these clothes are much my style, I guess. Borth Molina and Caroline had been trying on some clothes again for the fourth time in the same store and I was starting to get bored.
I got up from the waiting seat and starting walking around the small local shop. I had to admit, there was a lot of variety of clothes and of good quality, but I simply didn't want to look at the prices and break my heart on something I had set my heart on so fast. I had too much pride to use the Alpha Tab so I had no money. Even if there was a pretty summer dress that was on sale with beautiful spring colors.
You know it's on sale because it's about to be winter.
But it's on sale! And it's pretty. I want it.
Then swallow your pride and use his tab.
No! I don't want him throwing money at me like I need it and I refuse to take it!
He's simply trying to be nice. I think you hurt his feelings if you don't take it.
He's going to get over it. I'm not using his tab like I'm one of his other girls.
You're way too egotistical.
Oh, stop it. You understand it. The girls came out and I realized that they were dressed back in the clothes they came in. Were we done already? They had clothes draped over their arms as they went to the counter. I followed mindlessly, not really knowing what's going on. The cashier at the front desk bowed as they approached. I could tell in her eyes that she had acknowledged me but deemed me unimportant than Molina and Caroline. I thought it was fair, I wasn't fond of the attention they've been getting this whole time we've been out.
"Good afternoon, Princess Molina, found everything you were looking for today?" The cashier greeted. Molina released her at ease and put her stuff on the counter to be rung up.
"Yes, thank you." She greeted politely. I was trying to figure out why their moods had changed. Before they went into the dressing rooms, they were fun and bubbly. Now they were quite the opposite.
"Great choices today," The cashier tried to make conversation between them. I wonder how often they came into this store before me.
"Thanks," She said dryly. Molina pulled out her card and quickly swiped to pay for everything, trying to end the conversation quickly and go. They seemed like they were in a hurry.
The cashier looked a little hurt, but she went on and rung up Caroline just the same way.
I stepped over to Molina and asked her, "Is everything okay?"
She shrugged, her whole demeanor changed, "Alex contacted us. He said he wants to meet for lunch."
My stomach dropped a little and my heart sped up at the mention of Alex. I shook my head of him and went on to why everyone's moods changed so fast. " What's wrong with him meeting us for lunch? Is something wrong?" I pried.
Molina shook her head, " Nah, it's just when Alex suddenly makes plans that means he's done something that stresses out Caroline a lot. It's not fun seeing her stressed and bother by dumb Alex."
Alex isn't dumb.
I empathetically smiled as Caroline was wrapping up her purchase, "You're a good friend for worrying about her. I don't think it's anything too bad."
