Lunch with the pack royals went nicely in contrast to the dinner last night. Caroline wouldn't stop talking about loud about how excited she was about the ball this weekend. Alex said he planned it for this Saturday and it was only halfway through Sunday. Caroline always seemed excited about something, I guess it was part of her charm that she was always happy and optimistic. I always wondered how Caroline and Alex met and got along with each other for so long.
I wasn't too familiar with a royal ball. I was supposed to have one for my 18th birthday in a couple of months, but I guess there's a change of plans in that. The last ball I had to remember I had just turned 5 years old. We had family come from all over to celebrate the final Moore child to carry the family. I didn't really know how you were supposed to act as at a ball let alone know how to act as the Alpha's mate. If it's even announced.
We all were walking back to the pack house after having a nice lunch. I simply stood beside Alex as we walked, quietly admiring his beauty in the afternoon light. He was talking about his own admiration about Isaac to Caroline and Molina. "I don't know what's giving him these great ideas lately, but he's really stepping up and making all these plans. I think he wants us all to get closer again. I wonder what got into him.
Caroline shrugged, "Who knows? Maybe he wants us to start acting like a family again like we used to."
Alex nodded, pleased with her answer, " I'm glad someone's really focusing on family."
I was expecting for Molina to comment on Isaac, but she seemed to distance herself on the topic of Isaac. I couldn't figure out why she seemed to like him a little, but I guess she'd rather keep that to herself. We were almost to the house when I spotted a group of girls off to the side glancing towards our direction and excitably whispering amongst themselves.
Alex must have noticed them too because right before we were about to pass them, Alex nodded as a greeting to his pack members. They took this as a sign that they can approach the Alpha and Princess because they did, even though most of their attention was towards Alex.
"Good Afternoon, Alpha Alex." One of the groupies said.
Alex was being cordial with his members, but I could tell he didn't want to indulge in a deep conversation with them. "Ladies," He greeted.
He was planning to keep moving forward, but the group had stepped in front of them and stopped in front of his path. I decided to fall back behind Molina and Caroline to let Alex do this thing and converse with the girls.
One of the more dominating girls of the group stepped forward, she had on black high heels, black tights, and a shirt that was low cut to show her cleavage and put it on display. Her makeup was purposely sharp and seductive. Christina immediately pipped up as she realized what was unfolding. The succubus began to touch on Alex's shoulder as she spoke, "We were wondering if you wanted to join us for lunch."
My eyes never broke contact with her hand on Alex even if I wanted to. Alex seemed to ignore her special interest in him and treated her like any other girl. "Well, I just had lunch with my sister and friends." He threw a thumb back as he reference us in the back.
"Well, maybe we can do something else then.." She suggested. I watched her slide her hand down his shoulder to his chest, playfully playing at his collar.
Get her away.
I'm sure he can handle his own battles.
Don't care. She's stepped too many boundaries already.
Christina was right. I needed to end this right now. I stepped forward, passing by Caroline and Molina, and trying to claim what the Goddess gave to me. As I was about to chew the girl out, I felt a hand on my stomach, strong enough to stop me in my tracks just behind Alex. By the size of the hand, it couldn't have been Caroline or Molina. I looked down and saw it was Alex holding me back as he still held his composure with the girl with the hand on his chest.
