Twenty nine| Change

[Liza's POV]
"Because, it could get us both killed" I look at Kai in disbelief.
"Kai, what were or are you and David involved in?"
"Like I said, I cant say too much Liza, you don't know who's listening"
"Kai you're scaring me! What's wrong? Why can't you just tell me?"
"Do you want to be killed?" I shake my head, "Exactly, just shut up until we land" I nod nervously and drift off to sleep in the uncomfortable plane seat.

I wake up to Kai shaking me.
"Liza, we've landed. Lets go" Kai and I walk off the plane and into the terminal, we hire a car and drive to Vernon Hills.
"We have to stop by my friends place"
"Who?"
"You wouldn't know him, David does"
"Okay, but why are we stopping there?"
"To sleep, Im not driving tonight" I nod and Kai accelerates, after about ten minutes we arrive that his 'friends' house. the house looks run down and haunted? I step out the car and we walk to the front door.
"What's his name?" I whisper as Kai knocks.
"Dom" The door opens and a guy with short bleach blond hair gives us a weird smile.
"Kai"
"Dom" He says in return, Dom gives me a confused look.
"Whos this?"
"My girlfriend"Kai smiles.
"Im not -" Kai nudges me and Dom lets us inside. I sit on the couch and sits next to me.
"Kai, hows David?"
"Dunno, dont care" Kai shrugs. "Actually, hes fine..."
"Oh, your'e Liza?" I nod and Dom looks over at Kai.
"When David was still here, he would always talk about you. He's in love with y-"
"Dom shut up" Kai gives Dom a cold glare.
"We did date for a while" I mumble.
"Yeah, I know, why'd you break up?"
"He changed, a lot"
"How?" Dom picks up his phone and starts typing something.
"After what happened with my friend - well , ex friend , he changed. Its almost like he broke, he couldn't take it"
"Oh god did he commit s-"
"No! Not like that, he just wasn't stable. We've kinda made up but I don't know what will happen"
"How are you and Kai going? Why are you guys here anyways?"
"We're not dating, I don't want to date for a while. David changed, so did I. Kai and I are here because I don't believe him, David dated his sister?"
"Yeah what do you want to know about her?"
"She isn't dead?" Dom gives me a confused look.
"No, Katja lives a few blocks away. Why would she be dead?"

I feel a million feelings hit me, ones that I definitely haven't felt before. I feel a small pain in my chest, my heart is beating faster.. why couldn't this be a dream? David still loves a girl who he thinks is dead, but shes alive.

"Liza?" Dom gets me out of my thoughts.
"Huh? What?"
"You good?"
"No..Im not" I stand up and walk to the front door.
"Liza? Where are you going?" I hear Kai behind me, I turn around and hold back tears.
"David still loves her Kai! He never loved me. Im going home"
"You cant"
"Why?
"Because -" The front door opens and I don't know what to think.
