Prologue

Author's Note

This is my first time making a book. Sorry if it's not that good. Well I hope you like it!:)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Featherpool was sitting with Flamestar when she spoke those eight words. Featherpool's eyes began clouding over when she said them.

"Only the Moon's Heart will save the clans!" she meowed. Then her eyes went back to normal and she acted as if nothing happened.

"What was that?" Flamestar asked.

"What?" Featherpool asked.

"You just said that only the Moon's Heart will save the clans!" He meowed.

"It must be a message form StarClan!" meowed Featherpool.

"Featherpool! Silverleaf's kits are coming!" Oaktail exclaimed.

"Already?! They weren't supposed to come for atleast a moon later!" She meowed. " I'll come as soon as I can. Can you get some water and a stick?"

"Sure," Oaktail replied. Featherpool raced to the nursery. Silverleaf was moaning with pain. Oaktail scampered in with the water and the stick.

"Bite on this," meowed Featherpool shoving the stick into Silverleaf's mouth. The stick splintered and Silverleaf began wincing.

"The first one's coming! It's a tom!" Featherpool yowled.

"How many more are coming?!" Silverleaf meowed with pain.

"One more," Featherpool replied. Silverleaf broke the stick as she began wincing again.

"It's coming! It's a she-cat!" meowed Featherpool. Finally, Silverleaf began to relax.

"Drink this," meowed Featherpool squeezing the water out of the moss. Silverleaf began licking her kits.

"The kits are beautiful," meowed Oaktail.

"Let's call the tom Brownkit and the she-cat Moonkit," meowed Silverleaf.

"Those are wonderful names," murmured Oaktail. Featherpool gasped as she heard the she-cat's name. She ran out and raced into Flamestar's den.

"Flamestar! Flamestar!"Featherpool cried.

"What?" asked Flamestar.

"One of Silverleaf's kits is named Moonkit! Remember the message!" Featherpool whispered.

"Then she MUST be the one," Flamestar gasped.

"She will save the clans. Flamestar, we cannot tell anyone. Agreed?" Featherpool meowed.

"Agreed," Flamestar replied.
