Warriors: Moonstar's Destiny

Chapter Eight

Moonheart woke up gloomily as she saw her father's still body. Silverleaf nosed her away into the forest and began to speak.

"Moonheart, I know that your father's death has hurt you badly, but remember you still have to serve your clan," she whispered gently. Moonheart nodded and Silverleaf led her back to camp.

"Attention! ThunderClan, I know that we have suffered from Oaktail's death, but I have decided to announce our new deputy. Our new deputy is...........Moonheart!" Flamestar announced on High Rock. Moonheart was shocked, but gladly accepted her deputyship.

"What?!" yowled Tigerfang. "I deserve to be deputy!" he launched himself onto Moonheart and began attacking her. She screeched in agony as he tore at her fur.

"Tigerfang! STOP!" ordered Flamestar, but Tigerfang paid no attention and kept on clawing Moonheart. Sunblaze launched himself on Tigerfang and made Tigerfang release Moonheart.

"Tigerfang! You are banished from ThunderClan for attacking a clan mate," yowled Flamestar. Yowls of agreement came from the clan.

"FINE! I don't need anyone," he yowled.

"But we need to get the other clan leaders to agree that Tigerfang is banished from ALL clans," Flamestar meowed. "Jaystrike and Lionclaw, lead Tigerfang to the tree hollow and guard him. Cloudleap you go to RiverClan and get Hollowstar to come. Petalleaf get Rabbitstar to come and Redthorn and Badgerfur go to Ravenstar to come. Once the leaders came, Flamestar led them into his den and explained what happened and then came out on High Rock.

"We have decided that Tigerfang is banished from the forest!" he yowled. Tigerfang was led out of the camp and he was pushed out of the forest.

"Let's get you to the medicine cat's den," meowed Sunblaze. Featherpool inspected Moonheart's scratches and applyed some herbs.

"This might sting, but nothing a warrior can't handle," meowed Featherpool with a sparkle in her eye. Sunblaze led her into the forest and whispered into her ear.

"Moonheart, I want you to be mine. I love you," he whispered. Instead of answering, Moonheart just purred and intertwined her tail with his.
