Warriors: Moonstar's Destiny

Chapter Twenty-Two

Moonstar gazed at the sky as the clouds drifted.

"Beautiful day, right?" a mew came from behind her. She whirled around and saw Brownfur.

'Yes," she replied. After some more small talk with Brownfur, she was going to assign patrols, when Harepelt raced into camp. His shoulder was bleeding and he limped as he ran.

"Please help! BloodClan is attacking!" Harepalt mewed, panic in his eyes.

"BloodClan! But Firestar defeated them along time ago!" gasped Moonstar.

"Apparently Scourge had kits and they're attacking. lease help us!" Harepelt pleaded.

"All right, but we may need help. Petalleaf and Icetail! Go ask Riverclan for help. Whitewind and Owlfur! Ask ShadowClan for help. Everyone else, follow me! The Clans must unite!" Moonstar yowled. She raced out of the camp and with her clan at her flanks. They reached WiindClan territory and she gasped at the scene before her. Cats lay dead, their spirits in StarClan and others were wounded. Only a select few were still fighting. Moonstar narrowed her eyes, yowled her battlecry and raced over. Mimicking her battlecry, her clan charged forward and they began fighting. Moonstar jumped on a she-cat whose eyes were full of hatred. They began to battle fiercely, battling to be at the top. Moonstar pinned the she-cat down and her eyes had a look of fear. Moonstar then noticed how young and thin the she-cat looked. While she was distracted, the she-cat took her opportunity to attack. Now Moonstar was pinned to the ground. She let her body go limp, and the she-cat yowled in triumph. Moonstar waited until the she-cat's grip was loose and jumped up scratching the she-cat. Once she stunned her enemy, she slashed at her throat and blood poured out of the fatal wound.

"Noooooooooo! Star!" a tom yowled. Snarling, he turned towards her.

"You killed my sister and you're going to pay!" he growled, lunging towards her. He crashed into her and she was pinned down. He bit her neck and with a yowl of triumph, he stood over her. Moonstar felt her world slowly slipping away until it was black.
