Warriors: Moonstar's Destiny

Chapter Twenty-One

Moonstar got up and stood on High Rock.

"It's time for the gathering!" she called. Cats crowded behind her as they walked out of camp. They passed RiverClan as they walked over to the tree bridge. Moonstar signaled them over the bridge after RiverClan had passed. She padded carefully on the bridge and hopped off it. She jumped onto Flamestar's usual spot on the giant gathering tree and sat.

"Let the gathering begin!" meowed Ravenstar. The whole area became quiet as Ravenstar continued.

"ShadowClan has two new warriors: Cindershade and Flameheart! We also have three new kits: Nettlekit, Jaykit, and Mistkit! Their mother is Sunfur!" he meowed and nodded to Hollowstar.

"RiverClan has three new warriors: Frogleap, Sootstorm, and Rainfrost!" he meowed and nodded to Rabbitstar.

"WindClan is sad to announce that Whitefoot has gone to StarClan. That is all," she meowed and nodded to Moonstar.

"As you can all see, Flamestar has gone to StarClan. He was killed by a dog attack," she meowed, grief cracking her mew.

The gathering was soon over and Moonstar led them back to camp. She padded into the leader's den and curled up in her nest.
