her pov.

I disappear from Jimin's apartment right after moping about how much of a failure my magic has been.

It just doesn't make any sense, how can my magic not work on him?

Do the Gods hate me so much that they punished me with such ineffective power? I mean, X uses his powers fine so why can't I?

I solemnly drag my feet across the pavement as I walk through the silent, narrow streets near Jimin's apartment. My despaired gaze is planted on the ground the whole time, unable to process what I have just done.

"Q! What the hell? There you are!" X runs to me, landing his hands on both of my shoulders to shake the heck out of me. "Where in the world have you gone? What even is this place? Does Park Jimin live here?"

I rough push him backwards with a pout. "You loser, what the heck are you on? You left me when a problem came up and now you're pretending like you care?" I shout at him in a high-pitched voice, then stomping away from him with clenched fists.

I continue to walk further away from him until he disappears out of my sight, but then he reappears in front of me again, making me bump in his chest.

"What's wrong with you babe?" X gently holds my chin and lifts up my face to look in his eyes. "You don't get mad like this."

"The magic was defective, it didn't work when I tried to use it on Jimin to help him reject a blind date offer," I spill the words out of my mouth. "I don't know what I did wrong, it's so strange."

"What? What do you mean? It works everytime, you must be doing the wrong trick," X releases his hand from me.

"I'm pretty damn sure I used the right one, it's one of the few ones I use," I explain further, and it seems to me that X is more surprised about my case than I am.

He suddenly grabs my hand before saying anything else, "Alright. Let's go ask Ero about this," he insists as he forms a portal back to the headquarters with his free hand.

his pov.

(Oi, Park Jimin, what are you looking through your window for?) Hoseok asks me out of a sudden. I then realise that I've been looking out at the window for too long. Since I live on the second floor, I have to look down at her.

That weird girl who's been following me around.

"Wait a minute," I reply.

I continue to stare at the girl who's looking down, her back completely faced at me, walking down the street barefooted. Her hair's long and dark brown, and she's really thin and pale. She's wearing a long, red dress that shows off her shoulders. I saw her face quite a bit earlier too, and guessing by her looks she seems like she's in high school.

Who the hell is she? She's so creepy.

A man with a face I can't recognize due to the large distance suddenly made an entrance in front of her, just completely out of nowhere. Out of fucking nowhere for God's sake.

The two start to bicker around, and as much as I want to listen, I really can't hear a thing.

(Park Jimin, mind telling me about it? You know I listen to everything you say, right? You seem interested on something I don't understand.)

I furrow my eyebrows, "You didn't see her? I mean, she was right in my room a second ago and even shouted at me!" I ask him right away, completely confused. He shakes his head, and that's where I start to panic.

I take a deep breath so I can speak to him with a calm voice and clear stance. "You really didn't see or hear a girl here?"

(No, Jimin, I really don't know whether or not should I be concerned, you may be pranking me.) He nervously laughs at me.

No, I don't believe it. My guess was right from when she entered my house.

Don't tell me I can see ghosts again.
