"I can't recall the last time I took advice from anyone." - SZA
"Rahmell Timothy! You better calm yo ass down!" His mother semi yelled. He shrugged and leaned back into his seat. I was still standing like some crazy person. "Um, Hi,my name is Tuesdai." I smiled. He smiled back and we shook hands. "Lovely name for a lovely lady." Rahmell jumped up out of his seat so fast you would've thought that he didn't have a bad leg. "Back up off my wife." He mugged. His father chuckled and sat down as his mother walked around plating his food. Rah and I stood and looked at the odd couple as if this was something new to us and old to them.
"So ya'll ain't gon explain?" Rah asked. "Nothin' to explain." Ma shrugged. He scoffed. "You owe me a explanation mama." She sat the plate down and laid a hand on her hip. "The last time I checked, I was the parent, not you. I can have every and anybody in my damn house if I want to." She yelled. Rah swiftly got up. "And I pay the bills in this bitch! Has he ever paid for a damn thing? Huh ma? Where was he for the past eighteen years. Where was he then? I was four when you up and left. I had to be the man of the house at the age of four man."
"I never asked for that. I asked for parents, a mother and father! I had sell drugs to support mama,I got this beautiful woman pregnant at the age of eighteen and my son died after that! You wasn't there to teach me not to lose the most important thing in my life." He paused and looked at me. "I lost her because I was stupid enough to cheat. You ain't do shit for me nor my mom. I'm my own father." And with that he left and I followed.
"I'm sorry." I whispered before heading outside. We both got into the car, no words, no music. no nothing. I laid my hand on his upper thigh, relaxing his tense body structure. "Rah." "Don't wanna talk about it Tues."

We walked into the house and he went straight upstairs. I went to get a ice pack and his medication, because he was on that foot all night and I knew he would be in tons of pain in the morning. I was grabbing the medicine when I head a smash. I raced up the stairs to see him pacing back and forth with a now bloody hand. "What the hell Rah?" I yelled rushing to his aid. "Stop Tues." He said lowly. I dug through his draws to find something to help the bleeding. "I said leave it alone!" He yelled. I looked up from what I was doing to stare at him.
"You're doing it again." He sighed. "What? What am I doing again Tues?" "Pushing me away." I walked closer to him. "You're pushing me away from you and your problems." "Man Tues, just move." He said dismissively." "No, you're gonna talk to me." He pushed me slightly, sliding on his slides. "Where you going?" He ignored me. I followed him as he made his way carefully down the steps. "Yeah, just run to Trinity, you were always good at running." I cried. "Night Tues." He slammed the door shut as I stood there waiting for him to come back.

I woke up this morning to the worst headache ever and an empty bed. I shook my head at the memories of last night. but this wasn't my fault and I wasn't going to act like it was either. No way in hell was I about to look like the cause of our argument. Rahmell did this and that's what I'm stickin' by. I brushed my teeth and washed my face before exiting the bathroom and heading downstairs. I heard his snores from the living room, good. I walked into the kitchen making as much noise as possible on purpose. Call me childish if you want.
"Really Tues." He grumbled loudly. I continued to drop, bang, and scrape pots until I felt the force of him pressing his body close to mine. "Why you wanna play these childish games wit me?" "I'm just cooking. I have no idea what you're talking about." He smirked. "Don't play dumb neither Tuesdai." I rolled my eyes before dropping the empty pot on the floor one last time and walking back upstairs. I pulled out my uniform for today and took a shower before putting my clothes on and pulling my hair into a ponytail.
He sighed and sat on the bed just watching me and my movements. If it's one thing I hate,it's someone staring at me for too long. Maybe it's a New York thing, but I can't stand it and he knows that. "Stop staring at me Rahmell." "Tues." "I don't feel like talking right now." I walked out of the room and down the stairs where I left my purse. I grabbed it before he could get a hold of me and was out the door.

"So are you gonna go home?" Todd asked. After my long day of work, I decided to finally make my way over to Todd's house since Stacy had a date tonight. I needed one of my best friends and I knew Todd was the one that would keep it real and not sugarcoat a thing. "I don't know." "Well baby, you're gonna have to go home one of these days. You know that man is probably going crazy right now." I shook my head knowingly. "I know Todd, but how much can one person take?"
"If you're in love you can take as much as you want. I hear the way you talk about this man Tues and I remember the looks ya'll would give each other. That's all love. Sleep it off over here tonight, but you will be going home tomorrow after work to talk and make it right. You understand lil girl?" He smiled.
"Yes father."
"It's fauva honey, fauva." He laughed.
