Dear Agony

Agony woke up the next day in Cayde's arms. Agony cuddled close to Cayde her heart and body still heavy with sorrow.
"Sleep good last night?" Cayde asked
"Not too sure." Agony replied. The two laid there for what felt like days. Agony sat up and checked her pocket to find the note she took from Tevis yesterday. Agony opened it, it wasn't a note, it was a letter.

Dear Agony,
                       I wish I was brave like you. Wish I didn't care about everything that could go wrong. I'm not afraid of the void, but i'm afraid of the future. Agony, I hope to get to know you better. I hope I get to share the ups and downs of life. I wonder if you feel the same.
Then the writing gets sloppy, as if he wrote in a hurry.
I know i'm not making it out of here alive. I should have told you everything. Agony take care of our Exo's. Roach will recover fast, he knew me the least. Shiro will need support. Let him lean on you. Cayde will need you the most. Take care of him. Take care of our people. Protect them. Protect the traveler. Most of all, take care of yourself. Sorry I never took you to that ramen place.
The letter ended. Agony didn't notice she was crying until she saw the teardrops on the paper. Agony folded the letter and held it close to her chest.
"Agony, what's wrong?" Cayde asked concerned.
"I fell in love too late." Agony choked, "he loved me and I fell in love too late."
