I'm not a Coward

Cooper stood in Agony's room. Agony paced about while Cooper leaned against the wall.

"We've asked all most every guardian and no one wants to join", Cooper yawned

"I know. I tried threatening them but they fear Oryx more than me, and that's a grave mistake" Agony growled as she threw her shirt into the corner of the room. Cooper looked over at Agony

"Holy shit that is highlighter yellow. How do you wear that ugly thing?" Cooper asked as he jokingly shielded his eyes.

"Bra shopping is hard for me, not build like most women. My chest is to broad, I take what I can get." Agony said as she put a hoodie on. "There has to be someone willing to go on this mission"

"Agony we've been at it since dawn and it's going on midnight. Give it a rest." Cooper said as he took his keys out of his pocket. "You need sleep."

"What I need is a sixth person for this fucking raid." Agony said as she shoved her keys into her pocket. Agony walked with Cooper to his room, "goodnight Cooper."

"Good luck Agony." Cooper said as he walked into his room. Agony walked around the Tower, then went down into the City. Agony walked to her favorite bar, it was packed tonight. There seemed to be a birthday party going on, she did not want any part in that. Agony decided to look for another place to drink. As Agony passed a bar, someone was tossed out.

"You fucking bitch!" Agony looked the person over, he was a Titan from the look of the mark he wore around his waist. Agony walked in to watch the show. A lone Exo female stood in the center of the bar, she was shielding someone, her fists up.

"I can go all night." The Exo said, the tone of voice made it obvious she was smirking. Agony walked over to the bar and called over the bartender.

"Get me a jolly rancher and what's going on?"

"Oh, that girl standing behind Serena bit off more than she could chew." The bartender informed Agony as Serena knocked the other guardians down one by one. Agony downed her shot then let out a loud whistle.

"Children behave!" Agony yelled as she stood up and took out her knife handle, the guardians tensed up, "you know how this goes." Agony said with a smirk on her face. They all scrambled for the door, Agony laughed as she summoned her arc blade and mowed them down. Agony put her blade away and sat down at the bar again. "Hey can I get a beer?"

"What would you like?" The bartender asked as he grabbed a cup

"Surprise me." Agony said as she looked over at Serena., "you want anything tough guy?"

"No thank you. You're Agony right?" Serena asked. Agony nodded as she grabbed her beer.

"I'm Serena. I hear you're an absolute bitch."

"I can be. So, what's your deal? I stand up for the weak."

"You could say that." Serena said as she glanced over her shoulder to check on the guardian she was protecting.

"Well for the kid behind you, it's safe to leave." Agony said as she downed the rest of her beer, she slid the glass over to the bartender for a refill. Serena walked over and sat besides Agony.

"I hear you and your friends have a death wish. Taking on Oryx. Your all insane." Serena commented, Agony let out a malicious laugh.

"Someone has to be. The rest of these fucking pansies wont do anything. If we leave Oryx alone he'll take us one by one... I've seen that shit up close and experienced it first hand. We have to stop him here and now. The people of the City can't protect themselves. We as guardians are supposed to put our life on the line to protect them, but everyone here is a fucking coward." The bartender placed a full glass of beer in front of Agony. Agony raised the glass at him as a thank you then took a sip.

"I'm not a coward." Serena said, Agony looked at Serena, still taking a sip of beer. "I'll join you. It is our job to protect these people, and someone has to do it right." Serena said as she held her hand out to Agony. Agony set her beer down and shook Serena's hand.

"Welcome to the team."

Roach and Cooper were surprised Agony had managed to find another guardian willing to go on this mission. They were more impressed when they saw how strong she was. The team did a few Crucible matches with her and she was everything Agony was not. Serena was caring and wasn't harsh when someone messed up. Serena put all her energy into Crucible, she saw how important it was, unlike Agony who saw Crucible as a waste of time.

"One more round?" Serena asked when they went into Orbit.

"You guys go ahead. I need to start making a plan." Agony said

"Agony, we can't bond as a team if we're missing someone." Jake said

"I think we've got a good team dynamic." Agony responded

"Maybe you're just jealous because we like Serena more." Cooper teased

"No, it's nice to have someone else who can lead. Have fun guys." Agony said in goodbye as she returned to the Tower.

"Cooper don't tease Agony about those things" River scolded

"Or what? She's going to attack me with her arc blade." Cooper mocked, earning a laugh from the others.

"Cooper, we may never see her again after this mission... Just try to be nice to her, we've all been through a lot."
