Pressure Test

a/n: i'm so sorry i've been so inactive lately. i decided to take a break from all social media for a while, and with exams next week ive been studying nonstop.

"You're not going to like who we brought in earlier today."

I look over at my father. "Why not?"

He sighs and grabs his keys, leading me towards the back. I get some feeling that he caught Liam doing something he wasn't supposed to, angering me a little bit.

But that would surprise me more than anger me. Liam doesn't ever get in trouble with the law unless it's for a good cause.

By a good cause, I mean the supernatural. We've all been behind bars once or twice because of the supernatural at this point.

"Chelsea?"

I look up from the floor and see Theo sitting next to two unfamiliar people.

"Brought him in with those two." Dad says. "They are wanted for murder."

He reaches over and turns the camera off, knowing this involves the supernatural.

"Don't do anything stupid, okay?"

"Dad, it's fine. I've got this under control."

I wait until he walks out of the room to look at the three wolves standing in front of me.

"Murder? Seriously?" I roll my eyes. "Let me guess, you lost control on a full moon?"

"No. We had just escaped a bunch of hunters." The girl says.

"Wait, how do you know we're wolves?"

"Because she's a true alpha." Theo says. "She just knows these things."

"Try to sound a little bit less annoyed? I am getting you out of here after all."

"Wait, seriously?" The guy stands up. "Thank you!"

"Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do for the two of you. You guys had even confessed to killing them, which was your biggest mistake."

"Oh"

"What's your names?"

"I'm Jiang, and this is Tierney." He says. "Could you try to help us?"

I sigh. "Let me talk to my dad. I'll be back. Theo, let's get you signed out."

We walk towards the front desk and Parrish hands Theo release papers.

"Just sign and you're free to go."

I look over at Parrish. "What are we supposed to do about Jiang and Tierney? They aren't safe here."

"Trust me, I know, but you're dad won't let them out. He wants to follow the rules this time."

"Screw the rules. They'll die if there really is someone on the inside working for her."

"Someone on the inside?"

"A deputy shot this wolf named Quinn."

"Do you hear that?"

I look over at Theo. "Hear what?"

"Listen. I hear guns."

"We're in the station, of course you'll hear guns."

"No, it's coming from outside."

Something outside explodes, and I rush towards the windows.

"Chelsea, get away from there!" Dad shouts from behind me. "Everyone, put your guns away!"
