"It was literally day one of my internship, and up comes this slide about this guy they've been chasing through the woods in North Carolina-"

Malia interrupts him. "I thought you were in South America."

"I was. You know those bodies of the werewolves I was talking about? They blamed me." Derek says calmly.

"So I learned that the FBI had found this feral-"

"I found a group of hunters gathering in a meeting place." Derek says, interrupting Stiles. "I was trying to get information."

"Well the FBI found out about it too, and they were planning a SWAT assault to take him down dead or alive. Usually it means dead, so I convinced them to bring me on the field op."

"You convinced the FBI to bring an intern onto an extremely dangerous field operation?" Lydia asks.

"I'm surprised he didn't manage to convince him that he could lead it." Derek says.

"I actually tried that. It didn't work."

"Of course you did."

"Guys, it's not just the hunters." I say. "We've got another problem."

"The Anuk-Ite." Lydia says quickly, finishing my sentence before I had a chance to.

"And don't forget about Chelsea."

Stiles' hand slams onto the table. "What's going on with Chelsea? Oh my god please tell me that Liam did not get her pregnant."

"That's what you worry about?" Derek asks. "Not no, how is she doing? Where is she at? I'm guessing the hunters have her since she's not here?"

"Yea, they do. Gerard has her."

"Now I feel stupid for asking that." Stiles says quietly.

"Anyways, the Anuk-Ite can get into your head. It can make you see things."

"What does it look like?"

"It used to look like two ordinary people." Lydia states. "But somehow they merged. All we know is that it has two faces. One human, and the other supernatural."

"It's a shapeshifter like us, but it knows what you're afraid of. What you fear most." I continue. "Now it can kill you just by looking at you."

"So you're telling me that we've got to go against this thing blind? And face our deepest fear?"

I shrug. "Pretty much. What do you fear most?"

"Blindness."

"You're afraid of becoming blind?"

"No! It's losing Chelsea." He looks sad at the thought. "I- I don't think I'll be able to lose anyone else. Especially not her."

"She's come back from the dead multiple times. You won't have to worry about it." Malia says.

"But what if this is it? What if I lose her for real this time? She's the strongest out of all of us, I can't fathom the thought of losing her. Of losing my rock."

I nod. "Okay, so Lydia and Stiles, you two need to go to the armory, rescue Chelsea and Jackson."

"I've gotten through those doors once, I can do it again." Lydia says, reassuring all of us that we'd be able to get everyone.

"Are we really just doing what Gerard wants us to do?" Stiles asks.

"No, we're stopping the Anuk-Ite. If we stop it, then we should be able to get some of the people to back down. Not all of them are hunters, they're just acting out of fear."
