(Chapter 5) - Him Again!

Lily's POV:

"Honey, are you ready for school? It's your first day" my mum says cheerfully.

"Yeah, Yeah. So excited!" I say with the most sarcastic tone as I roll my eyes.

"Now, Now, don't be like this. Look, I even organised a friend for you to walk with, he goes to the same school as you." She says excitedly attempting to lift my dull mood.

I pause for a moment and remember the key word that struck me. "HE!!" I yell at her.

"What? Nothing wrong with a friend being a boy. Plus its like having a security guard, isn't it?" She suggests with a naive tone, unaware of my perspective.

I look at the time, its 8:25am. "Firecrackers, its almost time for school, gotta run."

"Don't forget to be on your best behavior, I've heard enough of your rebellious attitude at school, okay?" My mum requests of me as I have already left the door, creating a loud slam.

I looked outside, and noticed a tall looking boy with the same uniform as me. I try not to laugh, as I can see that his hair is in a complete mess and his eyes were still half closed. *Must have woken up later than I did (My thoughts echo in a snickering tone)*

"HEY! What took you so long! I'm gonna be late because of you! Hurry up!" The boy exclaims.

As I begin to wake up to reality, I replied "Ah, sure. And by the way, Who are you? I'm - "

"Yeah, I know, you're Lily Hwang! We're late!" He says with a scowling tone as he roughly grabs my hand walking in the school direction.

"But - " I try to speak but once again I am interrupted.

"Fine! I'm Taehyung Kim. KIM, TAEHYUNG! Happy now? Now, let's go!" Taehyung screams at me with no sincerity in his voice.

*Wow, he's the rudest person I've ever met in my life.*

Silence fills the air as we walk on the side path, it's almost so awkward that I wanted to break it. But the moment I try to, was the moment I regretted it.

"So, I'm just curious, were you that person that I met yesterday on the side of the road when I went to that house address?" I ask nervously.

"What if I was? Why should you try to miss and match who is who around here. What are you a detective or someone!?" He says with his rude tone.

*Yep, no doubt about it. This is the same rude person that I met yesterday*

"I-I'm not a detective, but I'm just curious okay!" I say taking slight offense to his answer.

"Sure. You just couldn't stop wanting the attention from me, Kim Taehyung, one of the 7 most popular boys in Busan High School, didn't you? Let me guess, you came to this school to meet us. Are we that popular in Daegu?" He says with the obnoxious snicker.

I took a high offense to that statement now, I had to move here for my mum's job. I had to leave everything, for a new life that I didn't originally want. As much as I had wanted to yell this at his annoying face, I said nothing and walked at a faster pace.

"Hey, why did you go fast all of a sudden! Why didn't you answer my question?" He says with a frustrated tone. "I was right, wasn't I? Oh, then do you want to take a picture with me?" He says in a belittling tone.

I stop on the path, and look at him with the calmest face I can put on.

"I don't want to take a picture, with the most rude, arrogant and most temperamental bastard on the planet. I am new here, and I wanted to be treated with decency and not like I'm some sort of follower of yours." I say with a strong tone, that seems to have him taken back "How do I get to school? And for the record, when we get there I will pretend that I don't even know you!"
