Chapter 50: Out of Place

The next day and for many weeks to come,  everyone one stared at me whether it was based on the news yesterday or the new rumours that were being stirred into the pot as well. I avoided all my friends that day and ignored Taehyung. 

I loved him, and cared for them all, and being back here reminded me of the old days. I was alone...in a space where people won't get hurt and people wont hurt me. This was de ja vu and maybe it was the best decision out there. 

I cared for them all, and that one university that I had aspired to attend was on the line. Every glance Tiffany gave me was just confirmation of it all. 

I was alone again.

They all tried to talk to me, but I pushed them away. Once they found me on the balcony, I looked for new places of isolation and studied my hardest. 

If no one could get hurt because of me...then that was my last promise to them all. And today was the day, I would protect Taehyung and the others...I would separate myself from the crowd and remain unexistant. 

People ran to others for help...I hid amongst myself. I couldn't rely on others for help...in a growing world...you must also learn to grow alone. 

During lunch, I sat under a tree near the end of the back of the school, no one seemed to use this area. 

"Lily..." I hear a familar voice and see Jungkook "I found you..."

I stand up and run the other way, but with his height and speed he caught up to me. 

"Why are you doing this? Running away?..." He loosens his grip "Why?"

"I don't belong here. I never did. Just go along with them...like I didn't exist..." I shake off his hand and walk away. 

"Are you kidding me?!" I turn around confused from the anger of his tone. 

"Jungkook..." He grabs me by the shoulders and stares into my eyes. 

"The first day you fought with him was the first days of many that we recognised you. You impacted us all and now you want us to pretend that you don't exist?" He expresses disbelief in his eyes "I can't do that. Taehyung can't do that! He loves you."

"But its for the best..." I say with tears down my eyes "I'm doing it for all of you, don't you understand! I was nothing back then and here I am nothing again! I won't belong anywhere...I'm a loner!" 

"The hell you aren't! You are everything to hyung, Jimin, Ally, and all of them! Can't you see that?" I push him away. 

"I can't, I'm sorry." I walk across the leaving him upset "Tell Taehyung, it's over...we're d-done."

"Lily!" I hear him yelling me but only my silent tears fell from my eyes as I ignored. 

"I'm sorry." I repeat to myself as all my tears fell. 

Taehyung's POV:

"What is happening with Lily? Jimin...why won't she talk to me?" Jimin shrugs his shoulders just as confused. 

"She won't talk to any of us. She just cut us off..." Jimin says with a sad tone. 

"She didn't! She was cut off because of someone else!" Jungkook comes in with an angry expression. 

"Jungkook..." He sits down next to me and pats my back. 

"Everyone...listen up. Don't you hear all these rumours and news going around...I gave it a good thought for a while. And I realised she's like me." Jungkook takes a deep breath. 

"How Jungkook? And what news?" Rap Monster inquires.

"Did you ever see me cry at first?" Rap Mon shakes his head "Did I ever tell you why I was hurting back then?"
