Chapter 45: New Encounters with Fate

2 weeks flew by and school came along to ruin the best break I had had for a long time. 

"Have a good day at school! Study hard!" I hear my mum say as I leave the house. 

"Will do!" I see Taehyung by the door and I hug him tightly. 

"Hey cupcake!~"  He returns the hug as I peck him on the lips "You're especially pretty today."

"Hi teddy bear!" We happily walk towards the school hand in hand. 

We had finally given each other nicknames, and over the break we grew closer. We actually had more alone time on the break which bonded us closer. I feel that I could talk to him and he'd listen and if he had any worries it'd be the same for him. We became best of friends as well as the cliche boyfriend and girlfriend. 

We were all laugh and giggles as we walked through school, but I felt myself froze when I saw Tiffany at my locker. She had her malicious smirk plastered on her face, and that wasn't what scared me...it was her next words. 

"Hey...are you okay?" I shake my head and direct my eyes to Tiffany "What's she doing there! Do you want me to go with you?"

"I don't know..." He seems confused but sighs in annoyance. 

"I'm going with you. I don't care about her...I'll protect you, I promise." I smile in relief knowing that he had my back.

"Tiffany! What are you doing here!" Taehyung leads me to my locker. 

"I wanted to talk to Lily here. Can you go?" He shakes his head and slams on the lockers taunting the girls. 

"Leave! I am not in the mood for your shit!" Tiffany scoffs as she agrees but mouths 'I'm watching you' to me.

His glares softens and he checks my state of being. 

"Did she say something to hurt you?" I hug him tightly feeling all my anxiety relieve away "She did. Tell me what she said later...I'm escorting you to class." 

He waits for me to grab my books and then to his locker. By the time I reach my homeroom, Taehyung kisses my forehead and then waves bye as he walks backwards. 

I smile laughter as I enter my class, but once again all eyes were on me. I could hear some murmurs of  'Is the month almost over?' and ignored them knowing the truth.

"Calm down students! Homeroom is starting." I take my seat and daze off while the teacher calls out our names. 

"Lily Hwang?" I wake up and reply shyly earning a little snicker from the girls.

After a few moments, she remained there ready to speak once more. 

"Today...one of our students are back. Please treat him nicely." The door opens as wide as my mouth. 

It was Felix! I had no idea he would be at our school. 

"Oh my gosh! It's Felix! Apart from the Bangtan Kings...Felix is so hot!" The girl ahead of me whispers into her friend's ear.

We exchange eye contact and he winks at me, and I blush recalling the embarrassing moment. And that was when I earned jealous glances from the other girls. I get that I was drawing a lot more attention than my last school but this was just getting annoying. 

The bell momentarily rings and I grab my books and exit the door like the rest of the students, but just as I was about to a hand reaches out to me.

"Beach girl! You go to this school?" I nod awkwardly.

"And you go to this school too I see." I remark shyly. 

"Why are you shy...oh. Nothing wrong there...the water got you bad. When did you go to this school...I barely even saw you in the beginning of this year." He inquires curiously.
