Chapter 42 - The Tidal Changes

Everyone jumped with glee except me as we all opened the door awaiting the beach. Maybe I was wrong, turns out 2 other people joined me in the area that we designated as the "quiet" corner.  

"You guys don't like the beach?" I speak out loud catching the attention of Rap Monster. 

"I don't, and he doesn't like the sun much." Rap Monster explains as Suga nods in confirmation. 

"They'll come back for us. They will force us eventually...be ready for it." I furrow my eyebrows and turn the next page of the non-fictional novel. 

"Enjoying yourselves?" I lower the book and see Ally's mum sitting beside me. 

"Yes." I reply with a curt smile "The beach is okay, but the peace and quiet it nice."

"Not a beach type of girl?" I shake my head and she laughs "Well...maybe I could keep you as my second daughter...this one barely studies."

She laughs cheekily and I nod my head agreeing with her statement. 

"You're right. She doesn't study at school either, though I must say she has been studying lately. Something got her focused." Her mum raises her eyesbrows in curiousity. 

"Has she?" I nod and she smiles in relief. 

"What are you doing here mum, I thought you were at home." Her mum shakes her head and ushers her to sit next to me.

"Well...we prepared some lunch for all of you. You can call everyone over here, its the good old picnic." Ally nods and heads towards the beach to invite the others. 

"Grab a towel, Lily. You're about to get soaked with a funny stench of - " Just as he was about to warn me, two large arms wrapped aroud me. 

"Hey Lily! Care to join us after lunch?" I recognise Taehyung's voice and feel irritated "What's wrong?"

"You got me wet!" I scream annoyed and Taehyung realises his mistake and laughs awkwardly. 

"Sorry...what can I do to fix this?" Taehyung's expression displays guilt "I'm sorry. I really am..."

"Sorry, I got annoyed there. I-I'll just change clothes." I stand up and walk towards the house. 

After changing my clothes, I decide to head back to the seat. I surprisingly see Taehyung moping on my seat and I feel slight shame for yelling at him, but it was within a good reason but not  the effective approach. 

"Hey..." I wave towards Taehyung "I shouldn't have yelled...just don't do that again, please." 

He nods and saves half the seat for me. 

"I didn't think. Can you forgive me?" I smile brightly and nod. 

"Yes." I lightly grab his shoulder and peck his cheek "I forgive you." 

"Yay!" He stands up and offers me his hand "Can I request a walk with you?" 

"Of course." We hear Rap Monster whistle. 

"Go on you two." I roll my eyes and throw sand towards him.

"Shut up Rap Mon." Taehyung chuckles and envelopes his hands with mine.

It was a nice walk, hearing the ocean and enjoying his company. 

"Why don't you like the water?" He asks curiously. 

"I don't hate the water...I just don't like the taste of the sea water and the loud noises that come with it." I take a deep breath "And the water...not a fan."

"Not a fan? Well how's this wind treating you?" He splashes water and I squeal as I cower in instinct. 

"Stop!" He continues to splash me and I run away from him.
