Chapter 53: Formidable Farewells

For what would be the next few weeks to come, felt like memories that I would treasure always. With everyone aware of the fact that after exams I would have to leave for Daegu once more, I felt lighter knowing it and could enjoy the moment more, and yet my heart lay heavy with sorrow aware that these moments would soon perish before my eyes. The new start was beginning soon. 

What they also didn't tell me was that they had organised me a party for my departure...honestly I didn't like to admit things easily but...

 I was really happy with these people as my friends. 

 And with Taehyung...after the confession we became a bit distant...we acted as close friends but knowing his true intentions did crush my heart. I was moving...there was no point to dating. Was there?

 My heart still beat fast within a reasonable distance from him...and sometimes we would glance over at each other. It was awkward...but the whole situation broke my heart. It was the last day of the exams and we were all focused...well mostly everyone. 

While all the students attempted to cram all of their information prior to the session, I was taking a walk through the school. But someone's familiar voice woke me from my thoughts. 

"Lily!" I see Taehyung running to me "Can...we talk?"

I nod and let him walk beside me. 

"What about?" He gulps nervously. 

"Us." I stop in my place and he fiddles nervously.

"How can there be an 'us' when I'm moving again?" He grabs my hand. 

" There can be. I won't allow this to separate us. I'll find a way...I will wait however long it takes." I feel my heart melt form his words as tears form in my eyes. 

"Then...I'll can you wait til I finish?" He kisses my forehead and smiles. 

"Of course. Can I enjoy this moment with you...just with you?" He intertwines our hands and I lean into his shoulder. 

"I wouldn't have it any other way." I mumble into his shoulder. 

"So...how long it this course?" He asks. 

"4 years..." His eyes widen.

"4 years!" He yells abruptly.

"4 years is nothing." I smack him lightly.

"4 Years is a long time to me..." He pouts cutely.

"You can visit me...and plus don't you have a future planned?" I ask curiously. 

"I do...one with you." He says with a smile. 

"You really like cheesy lines, don't you?" I say with annoyance. 

"It's true though. You're all I think about. Everything I planned all changed when you arrived again. I have no idea what to do now." He explains and I laugh. 

"You could do that music thing. You could be a phenomenal music group with them. Can't you dance and sing?" He nods but doesn't seem convinced. 

"Can I make a future out of that?" He says unsure. 

"I think you can." I check my watch and see that we have to head back "Don't ever doubt that rash heart of yours...but remember that it takes time and determination."

I find myself staring into his eyes and getting lost in them. 

"You really do have a heart of gold." He caresses my cheek lovingly "I really do love you." 

"We have to go back." I say as look away from him "Good luck okay?"

He nods and we head back to the exam room.
