Chapter 52: A Special Day

Lily's POV:

With a lighter heart, I was ready to partly face the world. Knowing that they already had accepted me despite Tiffany's threats meant that hard work and grit gets your further, and with that just a bit of hope...you could get there. 

As I was packing my bag for school, I got a text from my phone. 

Taehyung: This is my last request as a friend. Come outside.

I furrow my eyebrows in confusion as I let my curiosity lead me to the door. 

"What's wrong sweetheart?" My mum says glancing at me.

"There's....someone at the door, right?" I ask and she smirks. 

"Open it...It can only be revealed then." I supposedly walk to the door and turn the knob cautiously. 

As I open the door, I am embraced my a familiar scent, Taehyung's scent. For that split moment, I forgot the whole world and hugged him just as tight. We seem to lose all surroundings and warmly cuddle each other like it was just the two of us. 

I realise my mistake and let go and awkwardly push him away. 

"T-Taehyung...what is it?" He smiles and guides me out of the door. 

"I know your secret and I know that in your heart, you trust us all...so we have a surprise for you. So...will you accompany us today? Just before exams?" I look worried about this surprise but his eyes held true sincerity. 

"Al...right." He smiles and gives me a badge on shirt. 

"Wear it the whole day...and you should probably get your bag..." I nod silently still not comprehending what this will all lead to.

"O-Okay..." I walk towards my house and grab my bag from my mum "Wait...do you know what all of this is?" 

She shrugs her shoulders and ushers me out of the door. 

"Just because I'm talking to you doesn't mean anything..." He says as we walk aside each other. 

"I know..." He says with sadness making my heart break slightly "But this is my last request...do you trust me?"

I stop and stare at him for 8 seconds...

"Somehow...I still do." He expresses a small smiles and gets all giddy. 

"Good. You won't regret this at all." He takes my hand and I pull it back "Trust me..."

We take a different path and this makes me even more alarmed. 

"Where are we going?" I say staring at our usual path. 

"Taking a detour..." He says leading me to a path filled with flowers...but not with just any flower. 

A whole area filled with ferns...

"Ferns? They never grew here..." He laughs at my phrase. 

"Care to take this bunch of ferns?" He walks towards a elderly lady "And can I have that basket?" 

"Of course...anything for the young couple." She says with brigth eyes. 

"We aren't..." She shakes her head and gestures us to walk more. 

"She was nice...but it wasn't nice to assume such things..." I say with stubbornness. 

"Well...you should be confident yet fascinated by her words, shouldn't you?" I form a befuddled expression. 

"That...makes no sense." He chuckles and leads us to another path. 

"This way..." He guides me through another path which led to a park.
