Paula slowly woke up with a throbbing pain in her head.
"Dammit..."
She sat up and looked around. A concrete room, with a barred up window, a steel table with two chairs, and a metal gate formed a makeshift prison for her.
"Amateurs..." She scoffed.
"Au contraire."
A man with what looked to be the smuggest face in the world unlocked the door and stepped in. He locked the door and gave his partner, a man in his mid-twenties with short brown hair and a pair of glasses. He walked over and motioned her to sit down.
"Paula ter Voor, I'm Agent Hansen with Central Intelligence."
"Well thanks for giving me your name, Mr. Hansen."
"Hansen is a code name, so don't go thinking your the smart one here."
He opened a file and read off a piece of paper.
"The hell is this, Johnson?"
"Sorry sir. Printer jammed." Johnson replied softly.
Hansen sighed in annoyance.
"Listen, long story short, we need you to tell us where your boss went."
"I know nothing about it." Paula said.
"Oh do you now?"
Paula heard a click from underneath the table.
"We need her location."
"I honestly don't know."
Hansen pulled the gun from underneath the table and showed it.
"The location. Now."
"You really need to clean your ears out, because I said I don't know."
Hansen grew angry. He stood up and pressed the gun against her forehead.
"One last chance. The location of your boss. NOW!"
Paula stared before speaking.
"I don't know."
Hansen gave up and threw a mild fit.
"Sir, if you'd just take a more passive approach..."
"Then you do it!"
Johnson unlocked the door and Hansen stormed out. Johnson came in and left the keys in his pocket.
"Look, my superior is hot headed most of the time..."
"You could fry an egg on his forehead."
Johnson smirked.
"So I understand if you don't want to give up the location to him, so I'll be running the interrogation from here."
"Go right ahead."
Johnson locked the door and sat down at the table. He carried a mug on a sling.
"Coffee?"
"How long's it been?"
"You've been knocked out for about..."
Johnson looked at his watch.
"Five hours."
"Fine. Give me some."
Johnson handed over the mug, to Paula's delight.
"Now, as you saw, my boss is not one to do things passively..."
Paula nodded as she took a sip.
