"You have the gun?"
"I obviously do, Vlad. Otherwise I wouldn't be here."
The Red Leader opened the case. A golden Desert Eagle and a marble ammo clip sat within the padded box.
"You don't find these anywhere else, Mr. Illich. Each part forged in gold, including the firing pin."
"Does it even work?"
The Red Leader picked it up and loaded the clip. She aimed it at the ground and fired. The shot ricocheted off the concrete, sending it flying through the drywall. She set it back down again and unloaded the clip.
"Now the capacitor."
Vlad motioned to one of his cronies. He set the box down on the table and opened it.
"That capacitor was hard to get." Vlad began. "But I pulled some strings in the military and, low and behold, here it is."
The Red Leader reached for it, but Vlad pressed his hand down on the capacitor.
"The gun first."
The Red Leader nodded and slid the case over. Vlad pushed the capacitor towards the Red Leader.
"Pleasure doing business with you, Vlad."
She grabbed the box and walked out of the room. She soon emerged from the building and walked to a car. She opened the passenger door and got in.
"You made the deal?"
"Yes, Paula. I did."
"Good. The bomb should be in place."
The Red Leader looked into the rear view mirror and saw Patricia running towards them. She opened the back door.
"Armed...and ready...to explode." She said between breaths.
Patricia handed the Red Leader the button. She pressed it. In an instant, the building she had recently emerged from erupted in flames. Paula stepped on the gas and the car raced forward.
"Hold the car steady while I insert the capacitor." The Red Leader said.
"Yes, Red Leader."
"Please. Only the conscripts call me that. Call me Tori."
"Yes, Tori, ma'am."
"Eh, close enough."
She unscrewed the housing of the device and inserted the capacitor. The light, which had been previously red, had turned to green.
"The portal gun is in working order now!"
"Portal gun?" Patricia asked, confused.
"Yes. You know, you enter one side and it transports you to the other?"
"You made one of those?"
"Yes, Patricia. You were part of the project."
"Oh, I thought that was just gonna be some sort of electric pulse emitter, since you strapped that phone on top."
Tori looked at the smartphone on the top of the object, which was in the shape of a gun.
"That's to teleport long distances, Patricia. Another one of my ingenious modifications."
The car sped past some police cruisers as the three criminals celebrated.
"So, victory pint at O'Leary's?" Paula said, looking excited.
"Nope." Tori said, to Paula's dismay. "We're meting up with one of my clients from Nice. He wants to buy our little teleporter for his own gains."
"Where does he want to meet up?"
