Hansen woke up slowly. Sunshine barely peeked from behind the tree filled landscape. He stretched his arms and got up. From there, he walked to the coffee maker and, after adding a scoop of ground coffee beans, started it. The machine took some time to prepare the coffee, so Hansen looked into the pantry for some bread.
"Good morning."
Hansen popped his head out. Vlad was grabbing a mug.
"Coffee's not done yet." He replied.
Vlad turned and looked at him. He cleared his throat. Hansen popped out again.
"Oh!" He said, rubbing his forehead. "Good morning to you as well..."
"I didn't want a reply, but thanks anyway. I was just gonna ask if you could get me a slice of bread while you were there."
Hansen grumbled as he pulled out the loaf. He reached in and gave Vlad the heel.
"Yes!" Vlad said, grabbing the slice. "My favorite!"
"Weirdo..."
Vlad turned around. Johnson was holding a glass of orange juice.
"Ok, Johnson, tell me: how is eating the heel weird?"
"Nobody eats that piece." Johnson replied. "At least, not until they're starving."
"Well I eat it."
"Well then you're clinically insane."
Johnson chuckled a bit before getting grabbed by his shirt. Vlad hoisted him up.
"I'll show you 'clinically insane', four eyes!"
"Hey, hey," Johnson said, placing his hand on Vlad's shoulder. "Chill out."
Vlad looked at Johnson before going cross eyed. He mumbled something before collapsing, letting go of Johnson in the process. Both men tumbled to the floor.
Johnson looked up to see Hansen face palming.
"What the-" Hansen said. Johnson smiled.
"Hey, it worked!" He said, grinning from ear to ear.
"What worked?!" Hansen said sternly.
"The knockout nerve!"
"Knockout nerve?"
"They didn't teach you about that?"
Hansen shrugged.
"Meh. I guess it doesn't matter too much now." Johnson replied. "At least we don't have to deal with..."
"With?" Hansen said, motioning for his colleague to continue.
"With his damn sparkling water." Johnson said.
Hansen sighed and returned to rubbing his temple.
"I'm sick of your antics, Johnson. First, we had the Little Havana incident, then that bet in London, now this..."
"Ahh, Little Havana. You know, that bar we visited had some great mojitos!"
"The key word being had, Johnson. The bomb went off, remember?"
