Meet Me By the Stage Door

I stand on the stage with the lights shining in my eyes. I step up to the microphone and begin to speak.

"Hi, everybody! I'm Jordan White and I am part of the Life and Lies cast. I am proud to say that this Open Mic night is open!"

Cheers erupt, as I step backstage.

"Ahhhh! That was so nerve-wracking everyone was looking at me. Ahhhh." I say to Natalie who is sitting in the Greenroom.

Mark goes out onto the stage and announces that Josh will be singing first.

"Hi, I'm Joshua Colley and I will be singing Nobody's Perfect by Miley Cyrus. Everybody makes mistakes
Everybody has those days

Everybody makes mistakes

Josh really gets up there and sells his performance.

"Now if I can do that you guys can get your butts up here and sing." He shouts with a smile.

We move onto the next few people and then Natalie comes out from backstage. She forgets something and runs backstage. She grabs her ukulele and she runs back on stage.

"Sorry about that. I'm Natalie and I will be singing Absolutely Smitten, by Dodie Clark.

She knows this feeling all too well,

Sawyer runs onstage and gives her a kiss. A roaring "Awwwwwww" emerges from the crowd.

Natalie takes a bow and runs off stage. Sawyer announces to the crowd that he would be singing his songs Reasons and Willow Trees."

We move on and some other people sing in between us.

Josh climbs onto the stage again and says that he will actually be singing the song Charming from Natasha Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812. Although he is no Amber Gray, he kills the song blowing the audience away with his belts.

Towards the end of the night, Cameron slowly walks onstage and awkwardly speaks into the mic.

"Hi, I'm uh. Cameron Colley. And I will be singing. Lovebug by the Jonas Brothers. Sorry if I sound bad. I haven't sung for people in years. Okay."

He strums a few chords on his guitar and then comes in.

"Called her for the first time yesterday
Finally found the missing part of me

His face turns beet red and he runs off stage and into his dressing room for the show.

I quickly run after him and then stop. I think for a minute and realize there are the speakers that call five and places. I run to the board and connect the line to his room to the mic board. I walk onto the stage and start to speak into the mic.

"Hi again. I'm Jordy White, and I would like to say that I will be the last one to sing, and I don't usually get sappy or anything but I am dedicating the song I am about to sing to the guy I love the most. He knows who he is because I connected the mic to the call to places speaker in his dressing room. Okay, that's all here we go.

I take a bow and then look at the audience, and then toward my friends backstage.

"You in the dressing room get your booty out here! Hey Jude, go and get him, please. Please be patient this will just take a moment."

Jude comes walking out with a puffy-eyed Cam. I motion for my friends backstage to come stand by me and they all walk over.

"I am Jordan White, and this is the cast of Life and Lies of Anatolia Martino. Thank you!"

We take a final bow and then the entire audience applauds. I pull Cam in close and whisper in his ear.

"Meet me by the stage door."

Over the roar of the audience, I hear the blood rushing in my ears. I have a choice. One move. I decide and I move.

I turn to face Cam who looks at me and I decisively kiss him. And this time he kisses me back.
