There's a clash of pots and pans in the kitchens down in the lower part of the castle. The kitchens.
A young woman is on the floor, wincing as she sits up, quickly picking up the pots and pans.
She had long blonde curly hair that went down past her shoulders and a normal 'peasant' dress on. Red rose patterns down the bottom of the skirt and around the top. She was quite short, 5'4, her skin pale and her eyes were a bright sky blue. Freckles on her cheeks and the bridge of her nose, her lips a rosy pink colour which matched her pink cheeks.
"Annie. Watch it, will you?" Rio snaps, sighing and walking out with a tray of food for the princess.
Annie watches him leave, her big blue eyes filled with sadness. She pushes her hair behind her ears and grabs a pan. Just as someone else does. She looks up and her eyes widen when she realises it's. A man?
"A-ah- I'm sorry!" she squeaks, jumping up and carefully taking the pan off of the young man, her cheeks going pink as she stares at the young man standing in front of her.
He was really tall, 6'2, and he had olive skin, blue eyes and fluffy black hair. His face was covered in dark freckles and his ears had earrings in.
Annie. Thought he was drop dead gorgeous.
"Are you alright, miss?" he blinks, his mouth opening slightly as he admires her, his cheeks burning.
She looked... Beautiful.
He whispers under his breath, his eyes not leaving her face "Woah..."
He watches her move nervously.
"I-I-" she nods quickly, her whole face now red as she realises her fingers are touching his as they both hold a pan.
The young man smiles and puts the pan on the counter tops "My name's Keith! What's yours?"
"M-my name?" she whispers, shocked. Why would such an important person want to talk to a maid?
"Yeah... You seem sweet, besides, I wanted to come see why one of the servants were taking so long for the princess... But it seems he's gone to give it to her already" he smiles nervously, rubbing his neck.
"A-Annie. That's m-my name..." she gives him a shy smile.
"Woah... That's a cute name, for a cute girl!" he laughs.
She goes red, staring at him.
"Keith, you're needed by the queen. Stop flirting, you know you're not meant to" a guard says stiffly.
Keith glances over at the guard "Oh- okay" he gives Annie a soft smile "I hope I see you again, Annie."
And off he goes, closing the door behind him.
Keith frowns "Annie, huh?..." he says quietly to himself as he walks down the hall behind one guard and infront of two.
Annie stares at the door, her mouth open slightly.
She hears a crash again and winces, looking over at the pile of plates by the sink.
"I hate this job" Vlad groans.
Annie gives him a small smile "I-I... I guess i-it isn't that bad..." she walks over to Vlad and immediately starts helping him clean.
Little did she know, the man she met, was the Prince. Keith.

It was getting dark. The sky beautiful colours ranging from pinks to reds to oranges. It was gorgeous. Annie and Keith had been walking all day after escaping their carriage that had been attacked. They were quiet other than Keith asking how Annie was every now and then.
"..."
"..."
Silence.
Keith sighs "Are you sure you're okay? You're uh... Limping" he looks over at her ankle worriedly.
"I-I'm okay, Prince Keith" she says quietly, giving him a nervous smile, seething with pain as she takes a step forward.
"... Right, that's it" He says, walking over to her and picking her up bridal style "It's getting dark so we need to find a place to stay. I'll carry you" he says softly. A small smile on his face as he looks at her.
Annie's whole face goes red, her eyes wide "A-A-A-"
"Don't worry. We'll be okay, Annie" he says softly.
Annie stares at him in surprise. Nobody has ever been this kind to her. Other than Vlad of course.
After a while, they find a small clearing next to the river where there's a log.
Keith claps his hands together after putting Annie down "Here, let's find some sticks and start a fire. It's freezing" he nods towards her, turning around to find some sticks.
Annie watches him as she pats around for sticks.
"P-Prince Keith-"
"Just call me Keith"
"A-Ah- okay- K-Keith?" she says quietly, rubbing her arms, her face red.
He looks over, blinking. His cheeks pink as she walks over, standing right infront of him and looking up into his eyes.
"... T-thank you for h-helping me" she nods quickly, stepping back and pushing her hair behind her ears.
Keith blinks. Puffing out his cheeks slightly in disappointment. But he smiles sweetly at the maid "It's no problem. You're a really kind and beautiful girl" he says happily.
"Y-you... Don't seem s-so happy with other p-people" she shrugs slightly, putting a bunch of sticks down.
Keith nods slightly as he starts up the fire, watching Annie wince as she sits down, leaning against the log.
He smiles slightly "Nobody is interesting and nobody is nice- atleast, that's what I thought. Until I met you!" he moves over to her. Sitting next to her.
She looks at him and smiles shyly "R-Really?"
"Really"
She smiles at him. Quiet. Before suddenly going bright red at the realisation she was staring at him.
"A-AH- SORRY-"
Keith shakes his head "No! It's okay! You don't have to apologise. I liked it- I mean- not in a creepy way-" he sighs, laughing and scratching the back of his neck.
Annie smiles nervously, leaning against him causing them both to blush. She hides her face in his neck, her eyes closing. He was so comforting to her.
"Well... The moon is so nice tonight" Keith looks up at the sky.
"Y-Yes... It is..."
They both look at each other and smile sweetly, their cheeks pink.
"Let's get to know each other more, Annie. Tomorrow" he says kindly as he takes off his jacket, putting it around her.
She smiles, watching him and nods, stuttering as she's so flustered "A-alright... Goodnight, Pri- I-I mean Keith..."
He chuckles "Goodnight, Annie."
