"WE'RE DIFFERENT, THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND US, JULIE!" A boy yells at a younger girl, his eyes burning with fury.
"WE'RE MONSTERS, THEY'RE ACTUAL PEOPLE WITH... WITH ACTUAL LIVES... AND... AND... WE..." The boy stops, slowly lowering his arms as he looks down at himself.
He had dark skin and complete white eyes, different sorts of white markings on his arms, face and back, it honestly looked like snakes scales. Beautiful and smooth. So pretty to look at.
loose low cut shirt with a black cardigan over and ripped up shorts, red tights underneath, dark black claws and horns ontop of his head, fangs that popped slightly out of his mouth, ontop of his lips.
He was quite pretty in all honesty.
A beautiful monster.
Yet cursed with such an.
Ugly life.
"Please... Even though you're tainted blood we... We can still live normally! If you use that potion-" she's interrupted by him.
"God, Julie it hurts too bad I... I just can't" he whispers.
"Ferid we... We can't keep hiding away. One day they're going to accept us for who we are!" the girl smiles sweetly, stepping forward and gently cupping his face in her hands, gently kissing his cheek, causing the monster boy to blush, a smile on her face.
It was obvious that she was a twilight creature.
Her bright burning red eyes, the dark aura around her. It was just obvious. Anyone could really tell.
"You don't understand, you could never understand" he whispers.
"You're right. I don't completely understand, I'm not PHYSICALLY a monster like you... But I was born as this person who's raised to be a killing machine. And one day, I'll have to respond to the calling..." she smiles sadly "And then I'll be a bad person. But let me tell you. You're not a monster. You're a tainted blood. Not a monster, that's your species."
The boy, Ferid, tears up, looking away sadly as the girl pulls him into a tight hug.
"You won't ever be a monster, I won't let you hurt anyone" he whispers.
She was a bit taller than him. Had long dark green hair with dark black roots, pale skin and she wore a frilled out red and black winter dress, golden trimmings all around with a black woolen coat over her. Keeping her as warm as a firepit. Knee high maroon coloured boots.
She was such a pretty girl.
"I know. You've always saved me from everything! You're my hero, Ferid!" she squeaks, laughing.
"Heh... Yeah... Are we gonna go out there?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"It's... Just scary that's a-"
"Come on, we'll be okay! After all... What could go wrong out here?" she giggles, taking hold of the boys hand and walking out of their house, following the path into the forest, off to enjoy their day.
They spent hours out, having fun, playing in the snow.
It was always cold where they lived. However, they were used to it.
That's why it was so odd that they felt heat after a few hours, returning to their village.
"Well, the hot springs were nice!" Julie giggles, smiling sweetly at the boy.
He nods and blushes, looking at her, slowly snaking his hands into hers "Not... Not as nice as you."
She blinks. Waiting for a moment, before laughing.
"Are you trying to flirt with me?" she speaks in her squeaky nasily voice, grinning.
"Uh- maybe! If you like it then I am..."
"Hm... Well I think you could do better personally."
He stops her, quickly rushing infront of her and grabbing her hands "Julie- I-I just... I wanted... I wanted to tell you that-" he gulps as he looks at her with such a loving expression "I... I really like you. And I know we're only seventeen I'm nearly eighteen... But I-I... I really feel this connection and... I think... I think I'm in love with you."
She stares straight past him, completely obvious that she isn't listening or can't heat him. He wasn't sure as to which one.
But she looked scared and sad.
That made Ferid feel very insecure.
"Ferid..." Julie gulps as she looks past him, her eyes widening slightly.
"Wha- oh- oh did... Did you not... You don't feel the same do you? You just don't feel the same and now I've embarrassed myself how stupid of me-"
"FERID."
The Tainted Blood jumps, looking around as he looks up ahead.
And immediately freezing in place as he stares at the village, flames and burning houses falling down.
Creature guards attempting to fight off other guards.
Human guards.
Humans.
But it's obvious their village, The Monster village, was way too weak.
"We... We... Have... We have to... Do something..." she whispers, stepping forward.
Ferid grabs her hand tightly, tearing up as he stares at her, not realising he's digging his claws into her skin "NO! JULIE WE HAVE TO GO! WE CAN'T!" He cried.
"UGH- YOU'RE HURTING ME! WE CAN'T JUST ABANDON OUR VILLAGE!" She snaps at him.
He quickly lets go as soon as he realises how tightly he was holding her hands "Wait- JULIE WE CAN'T GO BACK WE NEED TO RUN PLEASE-"
"MY MAMA IS IN THERE!" She yells, looking back at him as she rushes forward, giving him a sweet smile "I'LL BE BACK IN SECOND!"
"I'M COMING-"
"NO YOU STA- MGH-"
She didn't get a chance to finish, skidding to a halt and looking up at the collapsing wall, her eyes widening as she realises what was happening, turning her head to look at Ferid.
Just as she was completely crushed by the rocks.
The only thing visible, her hand. Stretched out, as if reaching for him.
Ferid.
Said nothing.
He didn't cry.
He didn't scream.
He just watched in complete and utter disgust. Terror. Anger.
How could these.
HUMANS.
Take her away from him.
The girl he loved, yet hadn't got the chance to confess.
The girl he adored.
The only girl.
Who accepted him.
He stumbled forward, his mouth opening and shutting, his eyes wide and tears now streaming down his face as he fell down onto his knees.
His chest felt like it was caving in on itself. His heart pounding.
Everything. Went quiet.
He couldn't hear anything.
It was as if. Every little noise turned off in the world, a man grabbing onto him, his eyes meeting Ferids as the boy was dragged into a carriage, a man yelling, the wagon rushing off, bouncing as it hits rocks as it goes.
Ferid just stares out of the carriage window, right at the flames, not hearing a single world the man is saying to him.
He had black hair, dark tan skin, cat ears that were flat on his head and a red bandana covering his eyes, strong arms that stopped Ferid from wriggling around.
He didn't know whether he was safe or not.
But in all honesty, at that moment.
He didn't care.
