Hugo breathed heavily as he stared at the body underneath him, blood splattered all over him, a heavy rock in his hands, blood all over his face.
Before he yells and forces the rock down, hearing one final scream before just, wheezing.
He looks up at the sky, his whole body shaking "Guh-" he chokes, his eyes wide as he looks at the blood beaten pulp underneath him.
Before looking over his shoulder, back at Meadow who's pushed herself up against the wall, her eyes wide in horror, her mouth opening and shutting like a fish as she stares at the bloody mess, blood splattered on her too.
This man was going to murder them and Hugo had managed to escape, find a rock and. Well. You can get the gist of it.
Hugo shakily stepped away from the body, taking a few paces back.
Before Meadow starts screaming, loud and terrified screaming.
Hugo was only fifteen and he had already killed someone.
"WAIT- WAIT MEADOW SH- SHH IT'S OKAY YOU'RE SAFE-" he steps forward to hug her, but she kicks him in the knee.
"HOLY SHIT GET AWAY FROM ME YOU PSYCHOPATH!" she screams.
Hugo stares at her in shock, looking at the body and then at Meadow "He-He was gonna-"
"YOU COULDA JUST KNOCKED HIM OUT BUT NO YOU DECIDE TO CRUSH HIS FUCKING SKULL?!"
Hugo stares, his heart pounding, his chest gradually becoming tighter "He... H-he told me to-"
"WHO?! NOBODY WAS HERE- GOD HUGO I-I-" Meadow takes another look at the body, before gagging and throwing up, coughing and choking as she vomits, on her hands and knees throwing up everything she had in her body.
Which wasn't much to be honest, they were kept there for days by a group of bandits. The rest of the bandits went out and left this guy alone with them. Hugo had managed to slip his bindings off since he has small wrists and bam, escaped.
Hugo stares, his breathing becoming shaky as he looks from the body to her.
'It was good, you did that you know? You're learning.'
It sounded like an echo in his head. It sounded like. A person?
He span around, gasping slightly "WHO'S THERE!?"
"N-NOBODY NOW- UG- WE NEED TO LEAVE-" Meadow coughs, wiping her mouth as Hugo cuts her bindings off, watching her stumble over to the chest, taking her amulet that had been going off all day.
Both of them rush out of the house, running into the bushes as they watch a few bandits walk around the area.
"W-We have to be careful" she whispers "They're all around so- we have to be c-careful."
Hugo wasn't listening, he was wildly looking around. That voice.
It sounded so familiar. But he just couldn't find the owner of the voice.
He stops as Meadow calls on the amulet.
"Da-Damien-"
"MEADOW ARE YOU OKAY?! YOU'VE BEEN GONE FOR DAYS IS HUGO WITH YOU?! WHERE ARE YO-"
"Damien I'm sa-safe don't worry. I escaped the bandits I-I-"
"BANDITS?!"
"Damien we n-need help. Hugo is-" she stares at the boy, before going quieter "He's fucking c-crazy, Damien he's been talking about some voice in his head for ages and- and- jesus christ he cr-crushed the bandit to death, Damien!"
There's silence.
Damien wasn't expecting it, his eyes darting up at Yuuki who looked. Horrified.
Lottie quickly begins to reassure Yuuki, stroking her hair and kissing her cheek, while Damien continues to talk to Meadow.
"M-Meadow what are his eyes like?"
"Dude I don't fucking know I can't even look at him!"
"Meadow- Meadow this is important look at him what colour are his EYES."
Meadow sighs, turning her head, before screaming as a rock is thrown down right next to her "JESUS CHRIST- HUGO WHAT THE FUCK-"
"GET OUT GET OUT-"
Damien stares in horror at the amulet, listening to the screaming of Meadow and the panicked yelling from Hugo. No idea what was going on. Until they hear.
"HUGO PLEASE GET OFF-"
And then a scream that's cut short.
Yuuki can't seem to even speak, her mouth opening and shutting, hyperventilating. Before just. Collapsing in Lotties arms, the girls arms wrapped tightly around her.
Damien.
Had no idea what to say or do.
Was Meadow alive?
Was HUGO alive?
What. What happened?

Hugo sobs as he drags Meadow behind him, making his way in the hopeful direction of Aquarius.
He had no idea where he was going but god did he want to get home, his mind was all fuzzy and messed up and Meadow was unconcious and bleeding bad. Poor baby.
He was alone in this.
'You know, if you dump her body. Nobody will find her. They'll never know you attempted to kill her if she's found by a giant, you know?'
"S-Shut up-" he chokes, wiping his teary eyes "I-I didn't want t-to."
He looks behind him at Meadow, wincing.
Her usual tanish skin now pale with a grey tint, her eyes closed and her black hair covering her face.
He chokes and sobs, hesitantly bending down and picking her up, carrying her bridal style, before his knees give up under him, causing him to fall over.
Her head was bleeding.
Bad.
He didn't know what to do.
And now he starts sobbing harder, holding his face in his hands "I-IM SORRY- GUH- I-I DIDN'T WANT TO I-I-"
"HUGO! IS THAT YOU?!" A yell is heard.
"NO NO NO GET OUT OF MY HEAD GET OUT OF MY HEAD-" Hugo screams, patting around, before feeling a dagger. He goes to stab it straight into his chest, but someone tackles him, keeping him pinned down, taking the weapon off of him and throwing it to the side.
He looks up, his teary blue eyes meeting a pair of green eyes.
Geo had held him down, one hand in his hair, reassuringly stroking it, trying to settle him.
Which works almost immediately, calming down but continuing to cry heavily into Geos chest as he lifts him up slightly, wrapping his strong arms around him.
He watches Cain, Felicity and South attempt to tend to Meadow, South muttering a bunch of small commands for them.
Before after a while, he scoops her up, holding the limp woman to his chest, wincing as he looks at Hugo.
"Geo... Did he...?"
Geo slowly nods, pushing the hair out of Hugo's face.
He was asleep. Passed out from exhaustion and fear.
"Is something wrong with him? Hugo has- NEVER been a violent person I mean. Even with bugs he's never wanted to hurt a thing-" Felicity is stopped as she watches Geo raise a hand to his head.
"... Something is wrong with his head?" Cain looks shocked.
Geo nods, hugging Hugo tighter, before sighing, moving his hand so they're visible so he can sign 'I'm going to take him to our tree house. I won't take him back until I've figured out what he is.'
"Geo it's dangerou-"
'That's why I'm doing it. Now go, if anyone asks, say you found her. Not Hugo.'
Geo quickly turns around, about to run off, but Cain rushes to his side, clasping their hands together, causing Geo to blush "Together."
Felicity and South was as Geo and Cain run off with Hugo, before looking at each other.
Felicity lets out a shaky breath "papa taught me a trick" she says quietly as she walks around hurriedly, before snatching up a flower, inspecting it "My dad is a traveller and he also is an Assassin. He helps wounds and-" she plucks a flower petal, before dropping the rest of the flower.
She takes hold of her water bottle, shoving the petal in and shaking it, watching as the liquid goes from clear to now a bright aqua colour.
South blinks, his eyes wide in amazement.
Felicity carefully tilts Meadows chin up, planting a soft gentle kiss on her forehead, before making her drink the liquid. Every little drop.
"My- my dad said usually you shouldn't have alot of the plant. It's pretty much a drug so- the plant heals a bit of your wounds, not all of it but- it can also give you an overdose."
South freezes "Well- shit- LET'S GET BACK NOW!" he quickly kisses Meadows head too, before picking Felicity up and running towards Aquarius.
He won't let her die.
The girls in his friendship group he will die before he let's them get hurt.
He's been so protective of them ever since his sister and him had been separated. Now he just protects the girls with every bone in his body.

It had been a good few days since Meadow was found. She has to stay in hospital for a while since her head was injured, nobody wants to risk getting her hurt since one little knock to the head again? It could kill her.
"... Mind control?"
Felicity gawks at Geo who is sat infront of all of them, his legs crossed. He looks at Cain.
He told Cain everything.
"Mm... Hugo has something... Well. Had... Something in his head."
"What do you mean by HAD?" June furrows their brow.
Geo winces, holding onto Cain's hand tightly.
Cain takes a deep breath "Hugo uh... He left. We woke up after accidentally falling asleep and... He was gone."
Everyone stays silent.
Felicity is resting against South and Anika, his hand in her hair while Anika completely hugs her.
June is sat by Damien and Mia. While Victor and Sebastian are sat by Bee, Victor's eyes glued to Mia.
The others hadn't arrived yet.
"So... What you're telling us is that pretty much Hugo ain't Hugo?" Victor raises an eyebrow.
Cain looks down at Geo.
'No, he is Hugo. He still feels the same. He is Hugo... But he's Hugo and another person in the same body.'
"We need to find him and get that thing ou-"
"We risk the chance of killing him... We can't just take it out. We need... A really strong witch..." Sebastian grows pale, quickly clinging To Victor.
"No. NO- NO FUCKING WAY DO YOU MEAN HER! NO!" He screams, standing up abruptly "DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT WHORE- P-PUT ME THROUGH? PUT US THROUGH?!" he looks down at Sebastian.
'Victor, we have no other choice. Lottie is not as skilled or developed as Wanda. She's been alive for a long long LONG time. Most witches have. It's either that or...'
"Or death..." Anika mumbles, hugging Felicity slightly.
Felicity rests her head against Anika, kissing her cheek before her attention returns to Geo and Cain "Well firstly... We do need to find Hugo, you know that, correct?"
"That's true, without him we can't do anything." South sighs "Have... You told his family-"
"No. Nobody has. And to be honest? I think we shouldn't... Yuuki isn't coping well right now. She's at home and hasn't left her house and her mother- she is really worried..." Damien sighs, rubbing his eyes "My poor Meadow..."
"Damien how do you feel about all of this?" Bee asks worriedly.
"How do I feel? I wanna fucking kill Hugo for what he did... But... It isn't his fault." he sighs.
There's silence again, everyone unsure of what to say.
Their friend, the youngest of the group, was gone.
The one they were all so desperate to protect BECAUSE he was young.
He had never hurt a single soul in his life. Yet in a single day he became a crazy murderer and had tried to kill his friend.
"Why... Why the fuck does it happen to good people?" South whines, holding his head, but Bee and Sebastian go over and hug him.
"If this is too hard, I can walk you home." Sebastian murmurs.
"No i don't... No. I don't wanna go home. I wanna help."
'Everyone can help by sleeping' Geo signs, letting out a heavy sigh before standing up, hugging June tightly, before making his way back home.
The others all go their separate ways, all returning home.
While Damien stays behind, same with Victor and Sebastian for a moment.
"... You not sure of this either, huh?" Victor mutters.
"For different reasons."
"... Victor let's go home" Sebastian whines slightly, pulling on his hand.
And they do indeed leave.
Leaving Damien sat by the dying fire, looking up at the moonlit sky.
Worried for poor Meadow.
