"i'm sorry, avi, i'm just not one to be held down by someone." he rubbed his huge thumb against my small cheek.
"is that what you said to all the other useless, pathetic girls?" i could feel my eyes getting glossy.
he chuckled. "of course, avi. you're just as pointless as the rest of them." a small tear rolled down my cheek.
ian pulled on my necklace that my grandmother gave me as a child. he dropped it on the hard wood tile floor.
ian slammed the front door of my apartment. i shoved my face into my palms, balling my eyes out.
obviously from the start i knew that ian was dangerous, after all, i have a best friend who would yell at me over the phone, reminding me.
i know she's gonna be all up on my ass saying she was right, and i know i'm going to be sitting there letting her.
i walked into my bathroom and turned on the warm water in the bathtub. i grabbed a towel and a couple bath bombs.
i stripped myself down and threw the strawberry vanilla scented bomb into the tub. i slowly laid down in the tub.
i couldn't stop sobbing, i just lay there, feeling stupid. embarrassed. useless. angry.
angry because i let myself get attached to someone like him: a player, an asshole, a jerk that doesn't have any feelings.
embarrassed because he completely used me. i, too, didn't let him get in my pants, nor did he try to. but i knew he wanted to.
useless because he didn't like me, i was just another one of his baby dolls for him to play with.
stupid because i actually thought we had a chance: a future. we would go on actual dates, or just cuddle at night.
after what seemed about 20 minutes of sobbing, my phone rang and i saw her name pop up.
"you were right, tatum. you were fucking right." i let a tear roll down my cheek.
"i'm sorry, aviana. i hate to say it, but i told you so." i heard tatum sigh.
"could i come over?" i ask, chewing on my lip.
"of course, i'll get the ice cream and pizza."
"be there in 15." i hung up and wrapped a towel around my body.
i walked to my room, with the cold, refreshing air touching my moist, warm yet wet, smooth skin.
i changed into some leggings and a white shirt. i threw on a navy blue hoodie and slipped on some white vans.
i shoved my phone into my pocket and put my hair into a bun. i snatched my car keys off my counter and locked my apartment.
i walked down to my bmw and drove to tatum's home, she lived with her fiancé and her dog.
i parked my car next to hers in her driveway, and knocked on her front door three times.
dylan answered the door, wearing a muscle tank top and some sweats. he greeted me by hugging me.
"hey, dyl. tatum here?" i asked, shoving my hands in my pocket. dylan's head slowly nodded and moved out of the doorway for me to walk in.
he shut the door behind me as i entered the kitchen. i sat at one of the stools at the counter and tatum was across from me.
she was setting the foods onto the counter. dylan wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed the back of her head.
she blushed, then smiled when he whispered something in her ear.
"okay, love birds, go ahead and get a room if you want." i sighed, knowing they were completely in love.
"i'm sorry, c'mon let's go, a." tatum escaped from dylan's arms and grabbed the ice cream.
i smirked at dylan as she pulled my right arm. i fell on the couch and wrapped a warm blanket around me.
tatum started asking so many questions, and i answered every one of them.
"did he say you were useless?"
"obviously, that's the only thing guys like him could say." i rolled my eyes.
"what else?" i took a deep breath and bit my lip.
"he broke my necklace my grandmother gave me before she passed." i licked my lips, fighting the tears.
"i'm so sorry." she hugged me. i hugged back and let go.
"you didn't have to say sorry, you weren't the one who did it."
"how about we go to the club? just you and me." she nudged my shoulder.
"i don't know, tatum." i looked up at the ceiling.
"c'mon, we haven't had one in a while. please?" she reminded me of a puppy, her chocolate brown eyes were big and round, and her lips were quivering.
"fine, just for the damn puppy." i said and rubbed my eyes.
"okay, you can borrow some of my clothes!" she stood up and ran to her room.
i laughed and followed her into her closet. she threw me a dress and i slid it on. (media box above)
she finished changing and wore a blue body suit and white shorts. she drove us to the club in her white chevy, and paid for our drinks.
"any eyes on someone?" tatum took a sip of her drink.
"nah, but my eyes are still peeled." i reply and she chuckled.
"well, bitch, tonight is your night." she winked at me and a guy caught my eye.
he was sitting on a purple leather couch, dark brown hair. i couldn't really see his face, but he looked great in his outfit.
black jacket. army camouflage t shirt under neath. black jeans. combat boots.
for now, there was something about him that made him different; that made him special. but i couldn't put my finger quite on it.
