cameron hugged me tightly enough to know she missed me. i let go of the hug and saw ethan and grayson smiling.

"i missed you, ava!" she smiled at me.

"i missed you too, camden!" i smiled back, as i realized her eyes were tearing up.

"forever. it's been forever." she states.

"hell yeah it has." i replied and we laughed.

"let's go hangout sometime." she offered.

"i'd love to." she smiled at me one more time.

"welp, i'm going to go get ready." cam exited the room and disappeared into the hallway.

"avi, you should join us. we're going to breakfast with our sister and you and e could join us." grayson recommended.

"um, i really wouldn't want to ruin your sibling day." i bit my lip.

"oh, no, it's fine. please, i insist." grayson repeated. my eyes shifted towards ethan's eyes.

ethan simply nodded, signaling it was okay. "alright, i'll come."

"yes!" grayson balled his fist and pushed it back in success. i laughed at him as he exited the room leaving me with ethan.

"cameron flew in last night to surprise us and wanted to catch up. but how did you know her?" ethan leaned onto the wall and crossed his arms.

"i met her when i was 12, she was 14. in middle school she would get bullied and i would always somewhat end up standing up for her. i ended up getting bullied, i made a friendship with cam, but i would've sacrificed myself to get bullied than have a sweet girl like her be bullied." i stated.

"oh yeah! cam told me about meeting a new friend but never let me meet you. she said she wouldn't let me because she said you weren't interested into anyone at the moment." he winked and i rolled my eyes.

"i was 12! either way, i like that we met at a bar, and not the hallways of mesa view middle school."

"i do too. wanna join me for a movie?" he replied and smiled.

"i'd love to."

e and i cuddled and watched half of shrek until cam and gray finished changing.

"took you long enough." ethan joked and cam and i laughed while grayson punched his shoulder.

"let's go to denny's." ethan said as he opened the door. grayson frowned and crossed his arms.

"but i want to go to mimi's cafe." grayson pleaded.

" no, we're going to denny's." ethan demanded.

"e, be nice to the kid for once." i say as i place my hand on grayson's shoulder. grayson turned his head and gave me a small smile.

i returned a gesturing smile, and looked back to ethan. ethan's eyebrows furrowed, and his arms were crossed.

"please." i said one last time, then seeing ethan's face relax.

"fine, you win this one." ethan answered and grayson gave me a huge, bear hug.

the way his muscular, bold arms wrapped around my small body and his cheek rested on the top of my head, reminded me of him.

frankie and memories. ouch... damnit, just come home kid.

if he were here... gosh, it would be so great if he were here. i wouldn't cry at every picture of us as kids.

i wouldn't have to explain to mom some fake lies why he left without telling her. she deserves to know, she really does.

it was a dumb move of him to get engaged without her knowing, but it was even more dumb to just ditch the family.

why'd he have to move? to leave me with brian, aidan, and james? they don't know either, frankie!

when am i going to be allowed to tell them?

when is he coming home?

when is he telling the family where he really is, right now?

when is his bitch of a fiancé going to leave him for him to realize he needs us?

does he need us? does he even miss us?

but guess what? with him gone it made me realize i wasted 2 fucking years on my life missing him!

"thank you, thank you, thank you! now i get my pancakes!" grayson released from our hug.

it was when my vision became blurry, that i realized i was crying.

"oh my god what's wrong?" cameron pushed past grayson and quickly gave me a hug.

"it's uh nothing." i lied, wiping my tears and let go of the hug.

"really, a?" cameron asked me.

"yeah, cam, really. and i uh, think it'd be best if i didn't come with you guys." i tucked a strand of hair behind my ear and tried to walk over to the front door.

i felt someone grab onto my wrist, and i stopped in my tracks. his touch made me feel little shocks. it feels like he's tasing me. but i liked it.

ethan's grip loosened a bit, but he never let go. "avi, please."

"i c-can't, ethan. i just need some time to myself."

"call me if you need anything. really." he told me.

"i'm just right across the hall." i say and open the door again, then shutting it behind me.

a cold breeze blew against my face and body, making me feel empty. it hurt.
