19. - thoughts and feelings

(grayson's pov)

aviana and i grew really close today at the dinner. laughing every second, catching up about life, and we clicked.

after cameron's birthday dinner, i slept over at david's house. at around three am, teddy, zane, david and i were still up playing fortnite on david's xbox. we were all in sweats, t shirts and hoodies, just burping and drinking sodas and eating chips.

"shut the fuck up, zane, we all know that teddy can fart louder than you." david laughed, his eyes still locked in the flat screen tv.

"okay, but my farts actually last longer and smell worse." zane stated, laughing a bit.

"hey, dolan, why didn't eth come tonight?" teddy cackled, and a burp came out of his mouth right after.

"um, i don't know. he said he wanted to stay home with cameron." i scratched the back of my head. my phone, that was sitting on my lap above my grey blanket, buzzed which made a vibration come to my leg.

the screen lit up, showing i got a text message. it was from ethan. i pressed my fingerprint in. and opened all of the text messages.

eth; i saw her today.
; it seems like it's been forever since i saw her.
; she looks better than ever.
; i asked how she was doing.
; i'd pick her out of any girl i'm with.
; i can't even look at her without crying.
; i told her i miss her.
; i meant it.
; i love her.
; i held her for the last time.
; then i went home and cried.
; i lost her, my baby.

avi? nicola? who was he talking about?
i put my finger to my lip, thinking about what to write next. before i could answer, aviana texted me as well.

avi ; i saw him today.
; i wonder if he still cares.
; i couldn't stop staring at him.
; i asked him about nicola.
; he's probably really happy right now.
; he couldn't even look at me.
; he didn't mean it.
; he doesn't mean it.
; he loves nicola.
; he gave me a friendly hug.
; then i went home and cried.
; i love him.

my heart became sorrow for aviana and ethan. they love each other so much that they are hurting themselves.
i mentally sighed to myself.

me; eth, if you love her then you should talk to her. you both are putting yourselves in pain.

i switched to texting aviana, thinking about saying something to her. we were basically inseparable today at the dinner.

me; idc.
