****Author's note: There is a lot of POV switching between characters. I hope that it flows well enough that its not confusing. Feel free to leave comments on parts that don't make sense or need fixing. I appreciate it. Thanks, H******

**Mackenzea's POV**

I opened my eyes slowly and glanced around the room. I wasn't in my house like i normally was after a hunt. So, where was I? The room was completely different than what I had seen before. It was like some old man lived there. What had happened to me? All I remember was fighting what was supposed to be my dinner, and then I blacked out. "Hello?" My voice sounded soft and vulnerable. I hated the way it squeaked and was quiet as I tried to figure out if I was safe. Zach walked around the corner covered from head to toe in what looked like blood. "Good Morning. How are you feeling?" I narrowed my eyes, blocking all the light that was flooding inside the room. "Where am I?" He chuckled softly.

"I brought you to my house. I thought it was a lot safer than where you had passed out." I tried to sit up, but pain shot from every corner of my body. "Take it easy, You have quite a few bruises and lacerations. I patched you up to the best of my ability. You will need to rest from now on, at least until you heal completely." I stared at him with wonder. I had only seen him at the dead of night. But, not once had I noticed the glimmer of gold that was shinning through his eyes. He smiled at me, his features lighting all the way up. "Are you okay?Does anything hurt?" I sighed softly and stretched my sore limbs.

"I am okay. Nothing really hurts. It's just soreness. So, you live here?It doesn't look like anyone has cleaned this place for thousands of years." He laughed loudly. "I know. I like it the way it is. If I were to change anything, I would be lost."  I nodded, feeling a pounding begin at my temple. He helped me stand up and guided me around the house. "You are welcome to stay here until you feel well enough to go home." I wasn't sure what to say to that. I wanted to stay all the time. Everything about him lured me into his arms. Whether I wanted to be there or not. He was very attracting to me, and I knew that there was something completely special about him.

**Zach's POV**

I smiled and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. It was extremely soft. I had the sudden urge to run my hands through it. "I really appreciate that you allowed me to stay here. I owe you one." She smiled at me and I felt my insides melt a little. "It's really no problem. I just wanted to help." She touched my arm lightly, making the hair on the back of my neck stand up. I knew that I was going to have to tell her how I felt. My heart rate began to stutter as she stared at me. "What's wrong, Zach?" I could not speak as I was lost in her eyes. "I-I-I...like you a lot." I had just told her my feelings and a sudden feeling of fear ran up my spine that she would reject me.

I waited impatiently, hoping that she would accept it. She smiled tentatively and leaned forward like she was going to kiss me. I leaned in the rest of the way and pressed my lips firmly against hers. They were soft and gentle. She pulled back and looked into my eyes. "I like you a lot as well." She gently caressed my face and smiled. I couldn't believe what had just happened. We had only known each other for a couple of days. And now we were kissing? It all seemed too fast to comprehend. We were staring into each other's eyes when Emma entered the room.

"Who's this?" I sighed softly, knowing that she wasn't going to be happy."I found her last night. She was hurt and needed my help. So, in order to save her, I brought her here to try and heal her wounds." Emma stared at the both of us, clearly angry with me. "I can't believe you brought her here. You could have put both of us in danger! She could have been a lunatic." Zea was staring at her feet, like she was ashamed. "Stop it! This is my house, And I will invite whoever I want. If you don't like it then you can leave!" Emma blinked, horrified by the fact that I had just yelled at her. She turned around and stalked out of the house. Zea just stood there, unable to say anything. "Don't worry about what happened. She will get over it. Are you hungry?" She nodded and I guided her to the kitchen and made her the best breakfast of her life.
