*Mackenzea's POV*

I woke up alone for the first time in months. I sighed softly and got my clothes for a hot shower. As soon as the water hit my skin, all the tension in my muscles disappeared. I quickly finished my shower and dressed slowly. My thoughts wandered as I walked into the living room. He was sleeping soundly on the couch. I smiled and walked over to his snoring form. I reached over and grabbed a blanket to cover him up. He must have had a rough night to end up sleeping on the couch. I covered him up and gently kissed him on the forehead.

I went into the kitchen and began to make some breakfast. Anna was up and crying for some attention. I picked her up and made some formula. She waited patiently while the water began to heat up. I sighed softly and tested the formula on the inside if my arm. I handed her the bottle and she ate greedily. I smiled and ate my own breakfast. Zach sat up quickly and looked around, seeming very confused.

I sat Anna down in her play pen and walked over to him. "Zea?" I nodded and wrapped my arms around him. "I'm right here. Are you okay?" He rubbed his face gently and nodded. I made him a cup of coffee and handed it to him. He sipped it slowly, allowing the caffeine to wake him up. I waited for him to talk before sitting beside him. "Are you okay, sweetie?" I nodded and hugged him. He hugged me back. " I was worried about you, I dreamed that something had happened to you. I love you very much." I smiled and nuzzled his neck. " I love you too, sweetie. Don't worry, nothing is going to happen to me. I promise." He nodded and finished off his coffee, grabbing a bowl of cereal. Something else was bothering him and I wondered what it was.

*Zach's POV*

I was so scared that she had left me in the middle if the night. I exhaled slowly and relaxed when I saw her beautiful face. It was just a dream. I kept trying to tell myself that but every time the dream reoccurred, I began to believe myself less and less. I exhaled and looked around the room. Anna was standing up in her playpen watching Zea make breakfast. I smiled at my daughter and picked her up, hugging her against my chest. She laughed light heartedly and nuzzled my neck.

Zea smiled at me and put a plate of scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage on the table. I sat down and she took Anna from me and set her back in her playpen. She sat down and began to play with her blocks, seeming content with just those toys. Zea sat down across from me with a champagne glass filled with blood. She sipped it slowly, and watched me eat breakfast. " So what do you have planned for today?" I swallowed what was in my mouth and looked into her eyes. " I was going to go greet the new neighbors. Alex called last night and said that someone had moved in to the lot next door."

She nodded and took a sip from her glass." Okay, be careful. We don't know how welcoming of us they will be. Make sure you go hunting soon. Those nails are going to give you away if you don't feed the beast as soon as possible. " I nodded and finished my food. I gently put the plate in the sink and I left, in a hurry for the hunt. The thrill running through my veins , always drove me wild. It was the best feeling in the world. I quickly transformed, wasting no more time than a few mere seconds. I ran as quickly as I could, wishing that my life was the same as always, but I knew that it was going to change even if I didn't want it to.
