**Mackenzea's POV**

I smiled as his snores echoed through my eardrum. He was so adorable when he slept like that. I kissed his forehead lightly and he girnned slightly. I was so glad that he had chosen to marry me. And not someone else. He was perfect for me. We were like identical copies of each other. He was my mate now and forever. I could never leave him, even if he was brutal and uncaring. I just couldn't make myself do it. I looked at him again and he was staring up at me. "What are you doing awake, darling? You should be resting. We have a lot of fun things to do later. You need sleep."

I nodded and sighed softly, closing my eyes and drifting to sleep. I knew that he had a lot planned for me. I just didn't know what. He wouldn't tell me anything. I wish he had though. It would make it a lot less of a mystery. And I would now whether or not to be afraid. The dreams didn't show up at all, I slept through the night peacefully. When I woke up, Zach was gone. It was pitch black outside and there was movement coming from the other room. It sent chills down my spine and the hair was standing up on the back of my neck. Something wasn't right. Someone was in the house. But, who was it and why? I grabbed my robe and put it on, tying the straps quickly.

I opened the door and peeked into the hallway carefully. There wasn't anyone there. I sighed and headed into the kitchen. Marcus was digging in one of the kitchen drawers, looking for something. I coughed slightly and he stood up straight and looked around. He finally spotted me and tried to look innocent. "What are you doing?"He grinned. "Looking for something."I rolled my eyes. "I know that, but why are you in my house." He laughed lightly. "I left something here and now I can't find it. Where is it?" I narrowed my eyes at him. "No, now leave!" He sighed and lunged at me, but I moved too quickly for him. He stumbled into the table, cracking his head against the edge. I dragged him outside and locked all the doors at once. He was never getting back in, if I had anything to do with it.

**Zach's POV**

I came back from hunting and Zea was dragging Marcus by his hair. "Sweetie? What are you doing?" She let go of him and his head smacked against the ground, causing a groan to emit from his unconcious body. I smiled at her, feeling a little curious as to what was going on. "He broke into our home and started rooting through our drawers looking for something. When I told him to leave, he tried to attack me. So, I knocked him out and dragged himoutside. "I nodded, realizing that it was his own fault. I sighed softly and called Alex. He helped me carry him inside.

He tried to quetion me, but I just wanted to get back to her. She was waiting patiently in the kitchen when I walked in. "We won't need to worry about him for a while. Are you okay?" She nodded and hugged me tightly. She smiled and leaned into me, relaxing a little. I thought our life was going to be perfect after the wedding, but boy was I wrong. I smiled down at her, watching her eyes close in ecstasy. She truly made me happy. I stroked her hair lightly and carried her inside our home.

I sat her on the couch and popped in our favorite movie, What Dreams May Come, which was an amazing movie. She nuzzled up to me and instantly fell asleep. I smiled at her and wrapped my arms around her waist, pullin gher closer to me. I was never going to lose her. Because she was more precious than gold. I sighed softly and kissed her hair, relaxing and watching the movie while she slept. I didn't want to move at all, I was in heaven. I closed my eyes after the movie ended and fell asleep with her in my arms. I was completely in peace. Maybe my life with her would be better than anything I had ever experienced.

**Mackenzea's POV**

I woke up from a sound sleep because someone was pounding on the front door. I sighed and looked for Zach, but he was gone. Where could he be? I exhaled slowly, and got out of bed, wrapping my robe around me, tying it shut. I walked towards the door, wishing that Zach was here. I peeked outside and saw Alex. He looked really impatient. I opened it slowly and peered at him. "What? Why did you wake me up?" He sighed and ran a disgruntled hand through his hair. "I didn't mean to. I would have thought that you would've been up by now. I'm sorry. Look, I need to talk to you. There's something you need to know."

I opened the door more, allowing him to come inside. I closed the door and headed to the kitchen to make some coffee. As I was making the coffee, Alex seemed to be at loss for words. I poured him a cup and handed it to him, while I made myself some tea. I was never one to drink coffee. The maker was purely for company and Zach. "You don't by chance know where Zach is?" He sighed and drank some of the coffee. "That's what I needed to talk to you about. He left on some mission this morning but he said he wouldn't be back for a few weeks. I was told to keep an eye out for you. Since Marcus hasn't been very kind enough to leave you alone."I nodded and sipped my tea, realizing that I would be alone for the next week.

"Well, thanks. I appreciate you telling me. I know that you were doing what he asked. But, today I was going into town to shop." He nodded and finished off his coffee in two gulps. "I'm not one for shopping, but I'm sure that Isadora wouldn't mind going with you. She hasn't been shopping in ages." I nodded , remembering that she was one of Zach's four sisters. They hadn't left since the wedding. I guess they really missed him. I called up Dora and she agreed to go which made the bodyguard situation much less annoying. Especially since it was his sister, not my own brother going with me. I sighed and we headed off, things were not going to get much easier.
