**Mackenzea's POV**

I was worried that he was going to be very angry. But, he didn't seem too mad. I relaxed and smiled at him. He was very protective of me. At least Marcus would leave me be from now on. I kissed him lightly and ran my hands through his hair. He smiled and gently carressed my face. "You are my everything, Zea." I smiled at him and kissed his nose. "I will never be away from you." He smiled and kissed me deeply. I gently ran my hands over his completely muscled chest. I knew that he wanted to continue, but I wasn't in the mood. "Whats wrong, honey?"I sighed and looked away form his eyes. He got up and left the room. I knew that he sensed that I was still anxious about what happened today.

I relaxed a bit, knowing that he cared enough about me to fight for me. I exhaled and curled up in the blankets, treasuring the warmth they were giving me. Hopefully Marcus would get the hint and leave me alone. I stared out the window, watching a shooting star fly across the sky. I wished that we had a house of our own somewhere far from the city. Maybe it would happen after the wedding. The wedding was in four weeks. But, I wasn't sure who should be my maid of honor. I didn't have any sisters or friends. So, I hoped that Zach didn't have a bestman picked out. Then we could do without them. Zach was going to look smashing in a tux.

**Zach's POV**

I stormed out of our bedroom and went to go find Marcus. He was playing cards in the kitchen. Everyone was playing except Zea and I. Alex seemed a little confused when he saw me. "What's wrong, Zach?" I growled softly. Marcus here has been harrassing Zea. He wouldn't leave her alone when she asked him to. She's laying in our room in the fetal position." I was so angry that my hands were shaking.

"Zach, you need to calm down." I nodded and exhaled slowly. Alex glared at Marcus. "Now, I told you to leave her be. If i hear of it again, you will be punished severely. Understand me?" Marcus couldn't say a word. All he could do was nod his head. I left the room, feeling a bit better and headed back to our bedroom. Zea was sleeping softly. I walked over to her and laid down beside her.

I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her forehead. She sighed contentedly, which made me smile. I relaxed completely and closed my eyes. I fell asleep for a little bit, hoping to dream good things. I woke up the next morning, feeling that familiar itch radiate from every poor on my body. I sighed and looked at Zea. She looked so peaceful that I didn't want to leave her. I felt the urge swell and I knew that I couldn't wait any longer. So, I left the room and headed towards the woods. I changed quickly and ran as fast as I could. I had way too much energy today.

**Mackenzea's POV**

I woke up feeling a chill run up my spine. There was an icy breeze floating around my room. I opened my eyes slowly and glanced at the window. Which it was closed. So, why was I feeling cold? I sighed and looked for more blankets to put on the bed, all I found was this huge comforter that Zach had brought from his house. I pulled it around me and drug it towards the bed as I laid down with it covering me. I exhaled in relief as the blanket warmed me up. I was completely comfortable now.

I relaxed each of my tensed muscles and began to fall asleep. I was drifting in and out of consciousness when Zach came home. He walked in looking like he was almost dead. His hair, shirt and body were covered in blood. I sat up in bed and looked at him, scared that he was going to die. He smiled at me. "What happened? Are you okay?" He grimaced as he pulled off his shirt and that's when I saw it. There were long deep claw marks across his chest and back.

Tears began to fill my eyes as I watched him limp towards me. "Sit down." I guided him to the bed and rushed to get Alex. He needed help fast. Alex came running as quick as he could. "Oh my. Grab the first aid and I need a wet towel.Hurry." I did what he asked, hoping that Zach wouldn't be in very much pain for long. Alex cleaned each cut, trying not to hurt him further. He flinched a few times when the peroxide stung his wound. I sighed, wishing that Zach would tell me what happened, but I knew that I couldn't rush him. Right now, he needed rest and time to heal.

**Zach's POV**

I totally did not see that coming. I was attacked out of nowhere. At least I made it home in time to clean the cuts and get some rest. I leaned back against the pillows on my bed and closed my eyes. Before I knew it, I was unconscious. The dreams started out with me wandering around the woods alone. I kept trying to leave but I couldn't find a clearing to exit through. They just kept going and never ended.

I looked around and stumbled into a hole. Inside this hole was a bunch of bunnies. I love bunnies. They are my favorite thing to munch on during the spring. But, these weren't normal hares. They stared at me with green eyes and very sharp teeth. I stepped away from them and they followed me. I was afraid that they were going to eat me instead of me eating them. It was payback for my hunting days.

I fell and one was on top of me, shaking me really hard. "Zach!" I screamed and when I opened my eyes, Zea was standing above me, saying my name. I blinked slowly, trying to get that dream to fade from my memory. It was burned into it forever. I sighed and took a deep breath. It was just a dream, and it wasn't real. I looked at Zea and smiled. She always made me feel better. She kissed my forehead softly and stroked my hair. I loved her more than she could possibly comprehend.
