*Zach's POV*

I couldn't believe that Marcus tried to attack my family. I thought that he had learned his lesson last time, apparently not. I hugged Zea against my chest and stroked her hair gently. She was sobbing hysterically. I was trying my best to calm her down but none of it was working. Anna was sitting quietly on Alex's lap while sucking on a cookie. Marcus had been moved to a room in the infirmary and was handcuffed to the bed. I sighed softly and rubbed her back gently and slowly. "Relax, sweetie. It's all going to be okay. Marcus has been taken care of. We will protect you both from him." Zea nodded and buried her face in my chest. I sighed and looked t Alex. He shrugged his shoulders, not sure what to do.

I picked up Anna and hugged her gently. "What are we going to do about the house? It's completely destroyed. What are we going to do for a place to live?" Alex nodded and made some tea for us. I set Anna down on the floor and she crawled for a few minutes, then used the table to stand up. I smiled, watching my daughter attempt to walk to her mother. It was a precious moment. I sighed softly and sipped my tea while we contemplated our options. There had to be a place we could stay without burdening anyone. It was starting to get very frustrating.

"I'm sorry, Zach. There aren't very many options right now. We can try fixing your house but that might take days." I exhaled slowly, feeling lost and confused. I nodded and started to pace the room. "Can't we stay here while I fix the house up?"Alex sighed and thought about it for a little bit. "I guess you guys can stay here." I exhaled, feeling much better about our situation. "It shouldn't take that long to fix everything, so two or three days. Thank you for allowing us to stay with you guys. We will stay out of your way as much as possible."

Alex nodded and showed us where we would be sleeping. I helped Zea and Anna get comfortable and asleep before I left the room. I walked outside and took a long look at the damage done to the house. He had gone on a rampage and messed up almost the entire house. The door frame for the front door needed to be rebuilt. Several windows were smashed and glass was everywhere. I sighed softly and started to sweep up the debris. By the time the sun had set, I had all the shards of glass cleaned up and the windows were tarped over. I walked into Alex's house and he was sitting on the couch drinking tea. "Did you clean most of it up?" I nodded and left him sitting there by himself. He could've helped me, but he was too lazy.

*Mackenzea's POV*

I woke up in a strange room. I wasn't sure where I was. I looked around and realized where I was and what happened. I sighed softly and cuddled Anna up to my chest. Zach still hadn't been to bed yet, which made me worry a lot. I picked up Anna and headed to the kitchen to make some food. I was starving and would faint if I didn't eat soon. I quickly made some scrambled eggs and sat down at the table to eat. Anna was beginning to get very cranky because she hadn't been fed yet, so I fed her some of my food an dshe really enjoyed it.

I laughed lighlty and continued to feed her. Zach walked in looking super hot. I smiled as he washed his hands and face in the kitchen sink. It just made him look even sexier. "Hey, sweetie. How are you? How's the construction going?"  He kissed me lightly on the forehead and grabbed a cup of coffee. "I'm good and sweaty. It's almost done. We can move back in tomorrow." I smiled and hugged him. He was right, he was very sweaty. I finished my food and washed the dishes. It wasn't long before we were back in our own home and away from Alex's prying eyes. I love my brother but he's very snoopy.

Zach smiled at me as I folded the clean laundry. "You are amazing, sweetie." I blushed deeply and kissed him gently on the lips. "You are such a brown noser." He laughed and hugged me to his chest. I giggled lightly and tried to avoid his tickling fingers that were headed for my ticklish spots. I finished folding the clothes and put them away. Zach was watching Anna as I was busy with some chores around the house. It was hard to pay attention to them both at the same time.  I finished up my chores and picked up Anna from her play pen. She smiled at me and made a few clapping motions that attracted my attention.

Zach started to make dinner but was too busy watching Anna play on the living room floor with me. She stood up once more, and tried to run towards her father. She managed to make it halfway until she fell. She scrunched up her face like she ws going to cry and just sat there. I crawled over to her and picked her up, craddling her in my arms. She nuzzled my neck affectionately, making me laugh at her sillyness. Zach smiled and genty brushed her hair away from her face. She smiled and giggled lightly.

I put Anna back in her play pen and hugged him gently. He grinned and kissed me deeply on the lips. I kissed him back and looked into his eyes. I truly made him happy and I was glad to know that. We rocked Anna to sleep, singing her favorite lullaby softy as we moved our arms. She was asleep faster than usual. We had a productive day. We laid her down in her crib in the nursery and headed to the living room. I plopped my butt on the couch and he leaned over the back and began to kiss my neck. It sent shivers down y spine, making me quiver. I pulled him over the back and onto my lap and kissed him deeply. He grinned and began to make out with me heavily. We ended up in the bed faster than you could say pineapple.
