Shiori's pov

"I need you to all sign these waivers so Konoha can't be held responsible for your deaths," Anko grinned.

Murmurs passed through the crowd as everyone processed the information. It seemed more than a few of them were freaking out.

"Pshh. Been there, done that," Leiko muttered.

I gave her a little nudge, "Don't get too comfortable."

"I know, I know," Leiko gave me a good natured eye roll.

I turned to Asher, "Ready?" I asked.

He gulped, "No..."

"Hey, chill. You'll be fine. What's the worse that could happen?" Leiko asked.

"Famous last words," I replied.

"Haha, no. Well, you're a support type ninja right? Since we're both heavy hitters, we'll do the confrontation and you just need to provide fall back," Leiko assured.

Asher nodded, "Okay. I'll listen to you guys. You seem to have more expertise than I do in this area."

We had walked to out gate at this point, completely ignoring Anko's antics with Naruto and totally-not-suspicious-at-all-grass-nin. A few minutes later a loud horn sounded throughout the arena as the iron gates swung open with a heavy creak.

"These gates need some oiling," I muttered.

The three of us leapt into the forests, keeping a leisurely pace. There was no rush. We had five days after all. Not long later, screams were already echoing through the forest.

"Shit, this is messed up," Asher muttered.

"Don't worry, we'll make it through," Leiko said confidently.

"What should we do? We need a plan," I said.

"Well, what Sasuke said was right. We need a code. So no one can infiltrate our team," Leiko suggested.

"What is it going to be then?" Asher asked.

"The question will be: What's your favourite food? The answer is going to be: Shirako. Got it?" Shiori asked

(If you don't know what shirako is, have fun googling!)

Leiko made a face, "Really?"

I grinned, "Really."

"Ok. So we have a code. What about getting a scroll?" Asher asked.

"We have an Earth Scroll. So we need a Heaven one," Leiko said.

"Ok, Asher, you can keep the scroll. Since Leiko and I will be fighting people head on, it's safer for you to keep it," I said.

"If you say so," he muttered unsurely.

"We should look for the weaker teams. I think we can take down the teams from the Sand if we avoid Gaara's team. We can take Grass nins as well but if you see a girl with an Asian straw hat, run," I informed.

Leiko immediately turned on her Byakugan and started scanning the grounds whilst we ran to see if we could find anyone.

"Due East: 200 metres. There's a team from the Hidden Waterfall," Leiko suddenly said.

I smiled with excitement, "They say Waterfall nin are cruel and calculating. Let's see what they're made of."

Asher sweat-dropped, "Is that really a good idea?"

"Nope," Leiko replied.

"Come-on, we're not gonna pass if we overlook any opportunities," I insisted.
