Chapter 10

Scars POV

Almost a week has passed and finally Hayley managed to get a meeting with Rogers. We would have gone yesterday, but since regionals are coming up, my mate has had practice everyday this week after school. So other than some wedding planning we haven't had time for much else at all. Currently I was sitting in the living room reading while Hayley was resting with her head on my lap. Occasionally I'd reach down and stroke her soft hair. Everyone else is scattered around the house doing their own things, which is nice. Just as I was about to touch her hair again her cellphone rang causing us both to jump in surprise. After looking at the caller ID she answers.

"Sleepy incorporated where our motto is "you don't need sleep just coffee"." She says jokingly

I roll my eyes at her, but that doesn't stop me from smiling too.

"I would work on that motto of yours." I hear Myers say on the other end

"Yeah well when the season is over I'll bring it up with corporate." Hayley says jokingly

"Good to know. Anyway the reason I called was that in order to get the deal off the shirt company we use, twelve shirts need to be purchased. So since there's already eleven I was wondering if Scar would like one?" Myers asks

Hayley looks at me with questioning eyes and I nod.

"Yeah of course." Hayley says, intertwining our hands

"Awesome! What does she want the back to say? Property of Hayley? Or Hayleys girl?" Myers asks jokingly

We both laugh for a minute.

"How about Hayleys number one fan? Or even Hayleys fiance?" She says before she can stop herself

There's utter silence then a loud squeal sounds, in which Hayley has to move the phone away from her ear.

"Are you serious?! This is amazing!! Why didn't you tell me sooner?" Myers asks excitedly

"Well I didn't exactly mean to tell you just now. We've been keeping kinda under wraps until our families find out so please don't tell anyone." Hayley says seriously

This was sorta true, except really the only person who we had to tell was Hayleys Nana, but no one else needed to know that. After Myers agrees they move on to talk about sizing, colors, and what I want my shirt and jacket to say.

"Alright. That's everything, congratulations again, and I'll see you tomorrow in class." Myers says

"Bye." Hayley says before hanging up

"You should go get dressed. Don't wanna be late to the meeting." I say reluctantly, putting my book down while she gets up

Her tank top rides up when she stretches. Showing off those amazing abs that I love so much.

"Stupid meeting. I hate dealing with the council." Hayley grumbles, hugging me to her when I stand up

"I know, trust me, but this is important so just make the best of it. They have to listen. Either that or we take care of her ourselves." I say

She sighs and kisses me once before pulling away.

"Go make sure Lilly gets up. Last thing we need is her sleeping all day, again." Hayley says

I nod then follow her upstairs and make my way to Lilly's room. She's sound asleep, cacooned in her forest green comforter, stirring only after being shaken lightly a few times.

"Come on sweetheart, time to wake up." I say softly, flicking on her beside lap

"Hey mommy." Lilly says sleepily, those blue eyes looking up at me
