Voltron- beyond the stars

I feel Voltron dart to the left, our back thrusters holding us up off the ground.
Where we were a few seconds ago now stands a crater.

"Crap, that was close," I murmur.

"I thought Voltron was the most powerful weapon in the universe!" Keith yells, frustrated at how badly we were losing.

"Yeah, so how is it this thing is kicking our ass so badly?!" Hunk screams as we zig zag back and forth, trying to stay out of the orbs attacks.

The orb zooms past us into the sky and I watch as it shoots hundreds of feet into the air. We turn back to the Alien, just to be gut punched. We're slammed into the air and land on some mountains.

"Ow," I groan, rubbing my head.

"The Village! We have to protect them," Shiro gasps.

I look up, and see the tiny defenseless  Arusian village no more than a few miles away. Crap.

Voltron begins sitting up, but in no time we're knocked flat again by the orb.

"Dammit!" I yell, as our thrusters are activated, stabilizing us just before we slam down again.

"Now that was close," Shiro sighs as we fly up and past the Alien.

I look up and see it chasing after us at a steady pace, orb in tow.

"We got him away from the Arusians, but we can't take him down," Pidge frets.

"I got it!" Lance yells.

Yay, Lance.

"I'm going to power kick that orb!"

No, Lance.

"No!" Keith barks, "Last time you did a kick we fell!"

"Stop living in the past!" he retorts.

Voltron hovers in the air, and turns around, soaring towards the Alien.

"Lance..." I warn, as Voltron jumps into the air and the orb is thrown at us.

"Just let him," Pidge sighs, as Voltron lifts one leg up, ready to kick down on the orb.

I hold my breath as the orb nears us.

"Oh shit," Lance mutters as the orb doesn't hit our foot, and instead slams directly into our head, my vision going a bit blurry.

"Lance!" We all scream, irritated at his miscalculation.

We land on the ground with the Alien barreling towards us.

"Pidge, fire lasers. Now!" Shiro commands.

"Got it. Fire!" he replies.

Instead of lasers shooting out our wings disconnect and form a shield.

"No! Fire lasers!" Pidge shrieks.

"Lasers! Lasers!" Shiro yells.

I yank on the levers to move us out of the way, but just one Paladin controlling Voltron doesn't work.

The monster uppercuts us and we shoot back a couple hundred feet. We catch ourselves, and land in a kneeling position.

"Ow," I mutter.

Once again we tumble back, by what I assume is the orb's doing. We hastily stand up, turning to face the Alien.

"Every time we focus on the orb, we're blindsided by the monster, and every time we focus on the monster, the orb slams into us!" Hunk cries.

"Then what do we do?" Lance screams.

"Oooorb!" Hunk yells.

I look up and see the orb hurling at us. Keith raises his arm to defend us, but it only slows down the hit. We're pushed into the rocks behind us and they crumble like sand underneath our weight.
