Valentine's Day.

A day where all couples across the globe would confess or express their love for their special someone. And a day many single ladies hate.

[Y/n] was one of the people that loathed Valentine's Day. He had to remember that he had no one to love and no one to call him his. But it all ended when he met Jungkook in secondary school one day, and soon enough, asked him to go out with [Y/n]. Since that day, it was a tradition to spend Valentine's Day with each other. Be it cuddling, going to a restaurant, or watching a cheesy movie with each other. Either way, [Y/n] loved it.

But [Y/n] is conflicted this time. Today, it is Valentine's Day, and Jungkook is heading out of the door, his mask and sunglasses on. "Do you have to go?" [Y/n] mutters, hands folded and eyes sad. Jungkook looks behind him to see his lover's eyes downcasted onto the floor beneath him.

Jungkook silently walks up to him, his eyes behind the sunglasses showing guilt. "I'm sorry hun but I have to go. Don't worry, we can cuddle tonight. I'll even buy your favourite chocolates," says Jungkook as he caresses his lover's head. [Y/n] smiles a bit sadly and leans his head into Jungkook's hand, remembering the feeling of his hand soothing him.

"[favourite chocolate]?" [Y/n] asks, his eyes looking at Jungkook who smiles at him happily. Jungkook nods his head, taking his hand away from [Y/n]'s head and instead holds his small hands.

"Yep," Jungkook says before he sighs. He turns his body to the door before looking back at [Y/n], seeing the longing and sadness in his eyes "Don't worry. I'll be home before you know it," Jungkook says before opening the door, putting a smile on his face to reassure his lover.

"Bye honey bun. See you later," Jungkook slightly teases, showing a bunny smile to [Y/n] before leaving the poor boy alone in their big flat.

[Y/n]'s cheeks pick up colour as he sighs from embarrassment. He told Jungkook time and time again not to give him a pet name. Nicknames like sweetie or hun were fine but names like sugar plum and honey bunny? Now those were just cringey.

And then the loneliness hit [Y/n]. [Y/n] quietly looks around the quiet house, looking at the background around him. It all reminds him of Jungkook and he wishes it didn't. He is only gone for a minute and he already misses him. Call him needy all you want but all he wants is to spend time with his lover.

He finally sits on the sofa in the sitting room. Sighing, he puts on the T.V, hoping it would distract him. But of course, life has to be a dick and rub all your misfortunes into your face. The programmes that shows up are all romance comedy movies or some soap operas about lovers and what not.

It does not help [Y/n] feel any better.

Soon he looses his temper and growls at the T.V, putting on some children channel that had a very boring programme on that only children would find funny. 'Why did Jungkook have to work on this
day of all days?' [Y/n] thinks to himself, resting his head in his arm that was resting on the arm rest.
