Unknown Location, Republic of Congo

14th December, 1000 hrs. :

"We have two Apache Hunters nearing the border, Crossfire, what do we do?" an assistant asked. "Don't fire yet. let them have boots on the ground. Then we shall have fun.." was heard, followed by a hysterical laughter from the shadows.

..............

"Nearing the border, landing now." the helicopter pilot chirped on his radio. New guy, thought Alex, before getting off of the Apache railing. He turned around to do a quick survey. Hmm, 18 in total, including the SAS. Shane came up to him and asked, "Now, where?""The crash site is 3 clicks east of here, we are headed there first." was the reply. "Roger."

All of a sudden, the pilot started barking on the radio,"Enemy boogies lighting up the radar, shit move now!!!" Alex looked behind, the Apaches lifted off and started to move. From the forest, he counted, three ,no, four rockets blew the Apaches to smithereeens. "Enemy fire! Get to cover now!! Go, run!" Alex started barking. "2-man formations everyone, go now!" Shane calmly ordered.

1300 hrs.:

"Delta 7 to Delta-Actual, sector is clear." Private Ricardo reported. He was accompanied by DiFiores. "Solid copy. Over." was Alex's reply. "Sawbuster 1-1, contact, authorisation to go loud." a SAS soldier asked. "Authorisation denied, go soft, and knock them out." Shane whispered.

15 minutes later:

"Crash site is one mike out. Delta 116th, Crescend Bravo." Alex whispered into his mic.
