"So what's the plan, Neku?" Josh asked.
"I guess we just have downtime."
"Okay, cool." V said as he turned around and started walking. "Seeya guys later! I'm going to go do some recon."
"Wait, V!" I yelled after him. He turned back around
"What?"
"We should probably stay together. I don't think splitting up is a good idea." I argued.
"I agree with Neku." Joshua commented.
"Ugh..." V let out a long groan, crossing his arms "Fine."
We (me and Josh mostly) decided to go shopping. We walked to A-East together, V trailing behind. We browsed around in Lapin Angelique. Me and Josh looked at suites while V wandered off and looked at frilly skirts and dresses, this gave me some alone time with him, might as well try to make small talk.
"So...Joshua..."
"Hm?"
"What have you doing lately?"
"Why do you care so suddenly?"
"Just trying to make small talk."
He was silent for a moment.
"Photography..." he said quietly.
"Huh?"
"I've taken up photography..."
"Why photography?"
"I needed a hobby if you didn't remember, my last hobby kind of had a body count."
"Oh...right..."
"Hey, Neku. Fancy seeing you here" a voice exclaimed.
I looked over to see Shiki holding Mr.Mew in her arms.
"Oh, hey Shiki."
"Whatcha guys doing?"
"Trying to kill time."
"Same here." Shiki sighed out.
"Where is everyone?"
"Beat's hanging out outside. Rhyme and Akane are in here somewhere."
"Ah, I see."
She then peered over my shoulder to look at something. I turned around to see what she was looking at. We saw a black and purple dress that had ruffles and some frills. But as I looked down it I saw a black figure at the bottom. V was squat down, carefully examining the dress, playing with its frills a little bit.
"V likes gothic fashion?" I asked myself.
"I figured V didn't like fashion at all." Shiki replied.
Then, in that moment, I realized something; why am I so obsessed with him? He's just another person but, yet, there's something about him... It's almost hypnotic... He's like a murder mystery. Weird and unsettling, but you just can't help but to want to know more...
As I snapped out of my thoughts I noticed Shiki had walked over to V and was talking to him.
"Never would have taken you to be into to fashion." Shiki said perplexed.
"I'm not, I was just wondering how a girl would possibly run in this. It looks so tight in the legs."
"I don't think the dress is really for running. I think it's more for the style."
"That's dumb. What if she gets jumped by someone? Or mugged?"
Shiki was taken aback. I couldn't tell if she was scared or disgusted.
