Chapter 17

My mind raced a mile a minute as a ran in between crowds of people. Where to find him? He could be anywhere by now. He could have left Shibuya for all I know. It's not like I can search this entire city, I only have 2 hours! I guess the first place to look is Cat Street. After a while, I finally made it to Cat Street. A few streetlights lined the streets as only a few groups of people walked down them. No sign of him.

"Phones?"

I looked to my side to see Mr.H in the entrance of his cafe.

"Mr.H!" I ran towards him.

"Whoa, Phones! What's the rush?"

"Have you seen V?"

"Actually, yeah, I saw him a few minutes ago. Why?"

"Is he still here?"

"No, he left a few minutes ago."

I sighed out as I felt the hope begin to leave me.

"Phones, What's going on?"

"We need to find V for the mission."

"But, I saw you with him this morning."

"It's a really long story, I'll explain it to you later."

"If it helps any, I saw him go towards Miyashita Park. My guess is that he's going to West Bus Terminal."

"Alright, I'll head over there. Thanks, Mr.H!" I called out as a started running away

"Phones, Wait!" He yelled out. I stopped and turned back to him.

"I don't know what's going on, but-"

"Mr.H I really have to go-"

"Play it safe. I don't know what this guy is up to. I don't want you to get seriously hurt. That goes for V too. Play it safe, 'kay Phones?" He said solemnly, concern clear in his eyes.

"Okay...Thank you." I softly smiled at him before running towards the bus terminal.

"So that's the gist of the situation."

"Wait so lemme get this straight. So basically, we think V might be a chick. And now Phones has to go lookin' for V." Beat said.

"Yeah, basically."

"Not gonna lie with you Shiki, I don't think that's fo' real. I think Bates' just messin with us."

"Me too Beat, I don't really think V's a girl."

"What bout you, Rhyme?

"Meh, I'm personally on the fence. I think either V could actually be a girl or Bates could be just messing with us."

"Is there any way we can help Neku at all?" Josh entered the conversation.

"I don't know."

"Maybe we can help look for V?" Rhyme suggested.

"Do you know where he might be?" Josh asked

"Not really..."

"Why don't we split up?" I suggested.

"That sound like the best option."

"Yeah, I'll head over to Hachiko and look there."

"Sounds good. Alright, let's split." Beat said before heading off to 104 and Josh heading off to AMX.I turned around and walked over to Hachiko. Crowds of people swarmed the area. Teenagers, Young adults. All sorts of people. But among the clumps muted grays I caught a glimpse of bright red. A blur of bright cherry red at the base of Hachiko. My glasses were starting to get foggy. I took them off and used my shirt to clear it up and I put them back on to see someone wearing a red school uniform. Wait...? Akane?
