SHAWN'S P.O.V:
Electricity; a form of energy from the existence of charged particles or what I felt whenever I touched Avery. My lips moved against hers in a continuous rhythm. My hand slithered away from her face to pull her closer to me. She understood my movement and climbed into my lap with such skill that we continued to kiss. Her hands dug into my bare shoulders. My own hands moved to her hips pulling her closer. Her hands changed position and pushed under the material of my singlet. She gave a small gasp as my tongue entered her mouth. She suddenly pulled back.
"We are on a public beach," she panted.
"We are on a public beach," I groaned.
She removed her hands from under my shirt and rolled next to me. Her cheeks were flushed and her ponytail was barely holding her up. She grinned at me, warmth spreading through my body.
"Simple," she breathed.
I went to pull her towards me again but she made a noise of disapproval.
"I've got to get home," she sighed.
She raked her thick waves into a tidier ponytail. She pushed herself up from the sand.
"Wait! Give me your phone," I said.
She unlocked her phone and tossed it at me. I quickly accepted my Instagram request and added my number into her contacts. She gave Ma a small smile before jogging across the sand to the parking lot.
I opened the tanned door with a large amount of enthusiasm. I was greeted by the presence of Kayleigh and Cameron who were sprawled along one of my lounges. He sat cradling her, his chest bare. Kayleigh wore gym shorts and one of Cameron's shirts.
"Good morning," I chirped.
"Good morning," Cameron said.
He returned to cuddling Kayleigh who was intently focusing on me.
"Shawn."
"Yes?" I asked.
"You smell like honey," she stated.
"Do I?"
"Avery smells like honey," she said.
"I bumped into her this morning," I yawned.
"You must have done more than bump into her to smell like her perfume," she suggested.
This earned a snicker from Cameron who in return earned a cold look.
I just smiled at Kayleigh causing Cameron to snicker more. I walked off to bedroom to get prepared for the day.
AVERY'S P.O.V:
I gestured to the register, "You press this button here and the the order should process."
Jake nodded along to my instructions and leaned against the counter. His blonde hair looked overly gelled and he smelled strongly of a sour cologne.
"Do you want to have a coffee after work?" he asked.
I winced as his minty breath drifted up my nose.
"I'm busy," I answered.
He squeezed my arm playfully, "You used to always make time for your Jakey Poo. I meant every word I said the other night. You're the one for me Avery. I'll wait for you and when your ready we can be together for the rest of our lives."
I scoffed at his confession of love and used my hand to smother my giggles.
"I'm sorry for overwhelming you. Maybe this is too soon to be thinking about marriage," he apologised.
