AVERY'S P.O.V:
We walked beside each other, his feet shuffled along the pavement. The top of Toronto Tower was visible from where we were walking."It's a nice area ," I commented.
He stopped his humming and nodded along. We walked to the bottom of the street and came to stop in the front of a small recreational park. I ushered Shawn into the park and we found a park bench. My hands reached out to a tattoo on his upper arm. He flinched at my touch, I traced the lines of the tattoo.
"What's this one?" I asked.
He took a moment to respond, "The lightbulb is for Illuminate and the flowers are my mum's favourites."
I smiled as my fingers swirled around the body art. I moved my hand down to the lower one on his inner arm.
"This one?"
He pointed to the neck of the guitar, "The Toronto Tower."
I looked at the tattoo and could see what looked like voice audio lines.
"My family saying I love you. The Ontario Lake. The guitar for the music," he stated.
My fingers moved onto a bird on the outside of his hand. I looked up at him expectantly.
"A dove. It shows that I always return home," he said.
I glided on to a small number eight between his fingers.
"Lucky number," he grinned.
My fingers found his last tattoo on another one of his fingers. He explained the meaning behind the small elephant tattoo.
His hand grazed my arm as he shifted position. The light breeze ruffled his curls.
"Any of your own tattoos?" He asked.
I shook my head, "I haven't really done any of that type of stuff."
"Why not?" he asked.
"I've grown up and I just never had the chance to explore those type of things."
Shawn looked at me with disbelief, "There must be something that you have always wanted to try."
I shrugged. He sat for a few moments, his foot tapping against the grass. Suddenly he jumped up and held out his hand.
"C'mon Avery!" he exclaimed.
I willingly took his palm. He pulled be back to his apartment keeping a tight grip on my hand. We continued around the block and came to a halt in front of his car. He fumbled in the pocket of his jeans in search of his keys.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
My answer was a small smile.
SHAWN'S P.O.V:
I drove along the streets of Pickering in search of my destination. I pulled into a parking lot of a well known ice skating rink. Avery slid out of the car and eyed her surroundings."Just out of curiosity, why are we at an ice skating rink?" She quizzed.
I gave her a fly grin and beckoned her to join me. I approached the rusted gate and searched it for any potential dangers.
"Take off your shoes. I'm going to give you a boost over." I ordered.
Her petite frame shook with silent laughter, "You're kidding right?"
