AVERY'S P.O.V:
I smiled nervously at our company, folding my pale arms behind my back. Piper grinned at Shawn and Cameron.

"Shawn Mendes! Cameron Dallas! Oh my lord! I can't believe you are really here. I'm Piper Hunter and I just want you to know you are both the most incredible people in the universe!" Piper exclaimed.

Kayleigh and Cameron were oblivious to the fact that Piper had just spoken, they were in a hug which one could assume was some sort of new wrestling attack. However, Shawn knelt down to meet Piper's eyes and gave her a quick hug.

"It's great to meet you Piper Hunter," he smiled.

Piper's cheeks flushed and she whipped out her phone.

"Could I just get a photo with you and Cameron? My post will get tons of likes!" she asked.

"I'm sure Cameron wouldn't mind that at all, right Cameron?" Shawn said.

Cameron broke awake from Kayleigh and nodded. The two boys knelt to meet Piper's height and took a few quick photos. Shawn stuck his hand towards Kayleigh, intercepting Cameron''s attempt of leaping back onto her.

"Shawn," he stated.

"Kayleigh. This is my friend Avery," she gestured.

His eyes flicked over me quickly, "We have actually met."

Kayleigh's eyebrow quirked and she shot me a look that I'm pretty sure translated to 'Why didn't you tell me?".

"She served me at the cafe the other day," he continued.

My head nodded along in a manner which could be related to a bobble heads.

Kayleigh interrupted my head bobbling with a slight cough, "It is getting pretty hot, why don't we go for a swim Cameron?"

Cameron accepted eagerly, placing his duffell bag on the ground. Kayleigh removed her clothing revealing the smallest size of a bikini known to man. Cameron's eyes watched her, his face forming a large grin. Kayleigh smirked at his response and grabbed his tan hand pulling him towards the sparkling water. I glanced at Piper and Shawn who were in deep conversation about something to do with Magcon. I sighed and stood up removing my pattern wrap from around my waist and then slipping off my shorts.

"Piper, I'll be back in ten minutes. You can join me it Kayleigh, I don't want you to be alone," I said.

Piper nodded and waved me off, directing her attention back to Shawn. I sighed and walked towards the glistening water.  Crowds of people splashed around, I spotted Kayleigh and Cameron among them. They stood in another weird embrace letting the waves brush them. I decided to not interrupt them and entered the water a couple metres across. The seawater waded around my ankles, goosebumps suddenly rose from my skin. I continued to let the water cover my body until it was just past my hips. A wave pushed against my face causing the irritation of salt water to occur. I smiled at the familiar sting and dived under the water. My arms moved rapidly, taking me out further, until the water was brushing against my chin. I waded around before swimming closer to shore. I was pulled under by another monstrous wave. I pushed up towards the surface and hit something solid.

"Ouch!" I exclaimed.

"Sorry, sorry," he mumbled.

Shawn muttered another apology and brushed his damp curls back. I gulped and adjusted my swimsuit. He watched me as I awkwardly corrected my appearance.

"Your sister is still sitting with the bags. She said something about tanning because she doesn't want to be a ghost this summer," he said.

I began my bobble again, I was pondering why my head had a spasm when Shawn's voice drew me out of my hypnosis.

"I never ended up choking on glass," he laughed.

I laugh slightly. Shawn looks at me strangely and runs his hand through his hair yet again.

"Tell me a bit about yourself Avery?" he asked.

"There is really not much to te-," I began.

A wave made my speech come to a sudden halt, I fell back with the wave. A soft palm met mine and pulled me up.

"As I was saying there really isn't much to tell. I just graduated, I work in my dad's cafe and apparently I lack fashion sense," I continued.

"Your fashion sense looks fine to me," he commented.

"What about you Shawn? You have a lot more to tell than a simple Canadian girl like me," I said.

"You don't seem that simple Avery," he mumbled.

"You recently just came back from Australia?" I asked.

"Just a couple days ago, it was amazing. How did you know I was there?" He questioned.

I preferred the option of not revealing my internet stalk, "I heard about it on a radio station."

"Okay, cool. It was amazing! It's just so incredible that my voice can touch so many people even though they are miles away.  It is one of best things in the world knowing people are being changed by what you do," he explained.

He splashed me playfully, seawater droplets lining my dark hair. I grinned and splashed him back.

"There has to be more to you than just graduating and being a cafe worker," he insisted.

"Avery! Avery!" Piper squealed.

Piper was swimming towards us at a rapid pace. She finally reached us panting. She gave Shawn another ginormous smile before turning back towards me.

"Piper, you aren't meant to be this far out," I warned.

"Avery, please, we all know I'm capable of swimming. Kayleigh wanted me to come tell you that she and Cameron are going to The Red. She also told me to tell you that we also have to come," she rushed.

I instructed Piper to swim ahead, Shawn swam behind me. We all made our way back to shore. Kayleigh and Cameron were waiting impatiently near our bags.

"What took you so long?" she demanded.

I gestured towards the ocean, "We had to swim back."

She gave me an apologetic look and turned to Cameron.

"Cameron and I thought we could take Piper and get the food. Shawn and you could stay here with the bags so we don't have to carry much," Kayleigh said.

This time I hoped I wouldn't drop anything.
