Chapter 20: Hero Move/License Part 2 (Nori Appreciation Chapter)

Y/n's POV:

Slowly, everything around felt frozen as I was walking towards the Ectoplasm that had been staring at me. I was lost in my own mind, I couldn't think about fighting right now. Hero move kept spiriling around, I had no idea what to do. I remember back when I was training with Nori, he told me to keep in mind my future as a hero, he would try to give me lectures mid-fight, trying to force knowledge in my mind. Although, that would make me angry back then because I only wanted to focus on the fight, not what he was trying to say. Damn, what was he saying back then, about being a hero, and why am I just now remembering this?

Flashback ~

CRASH

The tree behind me split in half as I dodged Nori's dangerous kick. Everywhere around me was dangerous, with Nori's quirk, the shadows were a huge danger but being in the open light was also dangerous.

"Y/n, listen you have to be alert, think of what is most important. Think of what the duties of a hero are! What can you uses to stop this attack!" He yelled over the ruckus. Dammit I have no time to think, there are freaking light beams shooting out of random places. Whenever I step in a dark place I get attacked from the shadow! I can't think Nori!!!!

From the corner of my eye I saw a tree get split in half as a light beam shot through it and came right towards me, I used my lightning speed to dodge it, but it still managed to scrape my cheek. I stumbled back and realized my surroundings. Trees were all on the ground and rocks from other places had flown over here. Shadows, he wasn't aiming at me, he was aiming around me! If I let this continue it will make him have an ultimate adavatage.

I put the wind underneath my feet, slowly making me fly. I know this will be risky up in the sky, but it will be more risky if I stay here!

"25%!" I whispered under my breath, I heard rustling behind all of the fallen trees, he must be in the shadows right now. I felt the hairs on the back of neck slowly rise as I shot lightning down right on me, in a flash I was in the air, and at the speed of lightning I speed across the island to the shore where there is less oppritunites of shadows. I landed like how lightning crashes on the ground.

Nori's POV: (She obviously doesn't remember this, I just have to add for more plot.)

Wow she's improving, she doesn't realize how important my words are yet, but when she does she will be so thankful I expect lots of thanks!!! I then stepped out of the shadows and walked into the sunlight. I saw the lightning bolt she was in head towards the shore, smart. I looked at my wrist and sighed, we have to have dinner soon, I better end this.

Flashback ends~

Y/n's POV:

I sighed as I stepped forward, I get what he was trying to say to me back then. The terrain, right now he has the advantage. I lifted the chains above my wrist slightly, I secretly used my fire power to melt the tips of the chains into a sharp point. I revealed the chain as it sneaked out of my sleeves. I cut off the chain still in my sleeve halfway with the heat and pulled it out all the way, and with the back loop (not the pointed end) I wrapped my pointer fingers in each. I then started to spin them rapidly so that anything that touched them would get cut. I started to run towards the hill Ectoplasm was on, ready to cut it in half so that he would come down to my level. Then everything froze again as I started to remember something.

Flashback~

Nori's POV:

I warped myself into the shadows, and once I found Y/n, I sent a shadow beam towards her. With some chains along her arm she spun them so that it would be deflected. Odd, it seems like she has shorter chains than she used to. I heard a crash behind me and turned around, the deflected blast had hit a tree with a nest in it.
