Nobody's POV:
"What do you think?" A deep voice asked, biting their finger nails while looking at the bloody corpse.
"It doesn't look good, he's already gone." A female replied, her eyes brimming with tears.
"After all of these years, do you think they would still help us? They hated us." He groaned, then slamming his fist down on the table. He let out a dry sob, "We can't let this go on."
"We'll head out in the morning. We can't just sit here and watch him decay." She tugged at her scarf, beginning to walk out the door.
"Nezu, please watch over her in the meantime." She spoke up again.
"Of course." The animal peeped out.
"We'll save him. I know we can." The father gritted his teeth together as he put in his jacket with his wife, one sleeve dangling at the side.
A/N: After much inner debate, I decided on which route I shall take with this story. I hope you guys like the foreshadowing of what's to come after those horrific chapters. They were saddening, but apart of the story— necessary. I'll see you guys soon
