Shouto Todoroki x Reader

Chapter 21: Hero Move/License Part 3

Y/n's POV:

   It was the next day, and everybody was hyper. Too hyper. Not only is today the day before we head over to take the Provisional Hero License Exam, but it's also the day where we see our modified hero costumes. I was excited too, I wonder what the dude did with the needles I requested? 

   I looked down at my watch, the sun would rise soon. I stepped down to the kitchen to see a couple classmates trying to get breakfast without falling asleep. I grabbed a nutrition bar and headed out of the dorm building. I gave my reason for going out so that the staff of the school wouldn't think I was ditching and slowly started to walk over to my new place to relax and train sometimes. Today I was just going to stretch a bit and then head over to class, I already am dressed and have my bag. 

    I walked over to a field behind the school, but still on campus since there was a gate not too far away from where I was. There were trees surrounding me but almost like a circle in my spot, letting in a little sunshine. There were also bushing surrounding the circles with the trees, making it like a little gate around me. 

   I took a deep breath and look up towards the sky, the sky was a dark blue that was getting lighter as the sun rose. The clouds though, some were purple, some were pink, some were orange, and some were just white. I thought it was beautiful as the birds danced throughout them. I looked down at the damp grass and set my school bag down by a tree. While taking off my shoes and socks I looked around me, seeing that nobody was in sight. Once I knew I was alone I started the warm up for today. 

    I started by doing 50 squats, and would slowly get faster with my lightning speed. Then, I would push air underneath me and go up about 5 ft and did another 50 squats in the air. Finally I would finish off by running in place 5 ft in the air. I decided to do this everyday before school, I want to be able to fly but make it seem like I was walking to through off my opponents. To them it would seem like I was walking on a hard surface when I was actually flying but keeping good posture. 

   Sighing, I picked up my bag and looked at my watch. I had about 20 minutes before first period started. I slowly walked over to the school, taking in the nice morning breeze. Then I heard footsteps coming up behind me. I turned around to see the one and only Shouto running up to me. 

   "Hey where were you this morning, I wanted to see if you wanted to walk to school with me this morning but you already left. I know you don't like waking up so early so whats up?" The boy asked. I smirked, damn this kid knows too much about my likes and dislikes. 

   "I've been doing stuff." I said, walking a bit faster. He sighed. 

   "What stuff." He pried. 

    "Promise you won't tell anyone." I said now slowing down a bit. 

   "Of course I won't." He responds quickly. 

   "Okay." I said, before I continued I stopped walking and pulled him aside before we got up to the entrance of the school. "I've been training each morning before sunrise, I didn't do it the other day though because I thought I woke up late. I also don't want anyone to know because if they do they will bark at me until they have a location to spy on me." I whined, but he just chuckled at my surprisingly childish behavior. 

   "I understand, I did that before I moved out to the dorms. Do you mind sharing a location with me though?" He asked, I gave him a side glare before sighing in defeat at his emotionless face. 

   "Since your my best friend I'll tell you." I smiled at him, making him look happy. "Its behind the school near the back of the gate. " 

   "Alright, now I know where to find you." He says, pride coursing through his voice. 

TIMESKIP

   We were all back at the TDL to test our new hero costumes. I was quite happy with mine, the guy did a great job on the upgrade. The needles were implanted all throughout my trench coat, and whenever I used the air to push them out through the sleeves they get coated in a liquid I chose, so if I want to tranquilize them I can or if I want to poison them I can. It was awesome. If I chose to use poison I have the antidote hooked onto my belt. Everything else I asked for was also there, but I was mostly excited for the needles. 

   I looked around me, everyone had great updates to their costumes also. Izuku had gotten huge boots, his trademark for All might's power will most likely be kicking, which is original. Eijiro had gotten sleeves for protection for whenever he had to carry someone it would protect them from his hardness. Others also had great improvements but those two stuck out to me.

   "Hey Y/n, what did you do to your costume?" I heard a familiar voice ask. I turned around to see Mina. 

    "Hey Mina, not that much. Something you guys will see out on the field." I responded with a smirk. 

   "Can't wait!" She responded pumping a fist in the air. 

    In the middle of our conversation, class B walked in. I wasn't that surprised though, it's like U.A to set up us with people whose quirks are unknown to us, this was going to be one of the hardest tests we'll have to take. As Aizawa was explaining that to the others, my eyes were scanning the crowd. We all looked excited but anxious, which was how I was feeling too. 

TIMESKIP

   Night was falling upon us as us girls plopped ourselves on the couch. I was sucking a loli pop while listening to the girls conversations until something interesting popped up. Uraraka's reason for being distracted lately. 

   "Is it a boy???" Mina basically screeched. I laughed, almost choking on the candy, it was so obvious who it was. 

   "W-w-h-a-at? N-no!" The girl stuttered, her face turning bright red. She then started to float up as Mina was circling under her like a shark, demanding to know who. I watched the blushing girl's eyes as they traveled somewhere else through the window. I looked to where she was smiling to see Izuku training outside. I smile and laughed a bit as I got up off the couch. I slowly walked to the elevator, dropping the stick that once had a candy on it into the garbage. 

   Today has been quite a good day, I trained well, talked to Shouto, got my costume back, and got under 100 texts from Nori today. Hopefully Tomorrow won't be terrifying.
