Ben's p.o.v ---------------- I became increasingly nervous every second that I was standing in front of her. I didn't know how to tell her what I knew; and what she didn't....
I focused on the task at hand and gathered enough courage to tell her. She looked at me, waiting for my answer. I slowly lifted my eyes from the ground to her face, admiring her beautiful eyes. She was eager to know what secrets I had been keeping for most of my life.
"Rey....." I saw her take a small breath through her nose as I began speaking. "We knew each other....before all of this." Never in my life had I seen a look like the one she had on her face. She was experiencing so many different emotions all at once; confusion, relief, fear, anger, and I was scared for my life for a moment.
I took a small breath and continued. "On Jakku....we trained under Luke. You were his favorite student, and he hated me. He saw what I was going to become and tried to kill me. Fortunately for me, I was able to stop him, but I was never the same." I stopped for a moment, trying to giver her some time to process what I had just said.
"Luke erased your memories Rey. He thought that I would be a danger to you, so he took you away from me....." I walked towards her, hoping that I could show her how I felt that day.
"Your parents didn't leave you on Jakku all alone that day Rey. He did."
