Chapter 13

*Louis POV*

We walked on the sand holding our surfboard, our bottles, and towel. The beach looked even better close up. I took a good whiff of the salty smell. There were a lot of people on the beach but Lacey said she has a perfect spot for us to sit near. We sat not far from the water, close to the shopping areas and perfectly right in the middle where it doesn't feel too crowded. She grabbed an umbrella from the stand and put it up. I placed the mats on the floor and Lacey put our towels near them. We had our surfboards stand in the sand. It felt relaxing and peaceful... I loved it. And that's coming from a guy who is very loud and likes to scream for fun. I sat up on the ground and Lacey laid her head on my lap. I wasn't expecting this from her but I didn't complain.

"So want to go surfboarding after five minutes. I like to relax and then surfboard" she smiled. I smiled back. I ran my hands through her hair and adored its silkiness. She played with the sand and grinned while I kept running hands through her hair.

"Do u like to collect seashells?" I asked.

"Of course I do!" she sat up and giggled.

"Good because I want to make u something and I have a feeling you would like it" I grinned. I knew what I can make her since she loves the beach.

"You don't have to Louis" she protested but I wasn't going to let her win the battle.

"Listen, I am going to and you are not stopping. Okay! Now how about we go surfboarding now and then we collect a few seashells. Then we relax a little more and head back to the beach house" I explained.

"Ok fine" she said.

I got up and offered her my hand. I helped her get up and we grabbed our surfboards. We walked towards the water and we were off. I saw a huge wave coming we both got ready and started paddling with our hands. We then stood up and the wave did the rest. We both got tired from surfing and walked around the beach a bit. I looked down for any shells and found a couple. Lacey tugged at my arm and signaled me to near the sand hole. I looked in and found so many beautiful shells in there. They were perfect. Lacey handed me a little net and I grabbed as much as I can. We then went back to our spot. We sat for a while and saw a teenage girl coming towards us. She had a camera in her hand.

"Excuse me, I'm Katy. I was wondering if I can get a picture of you guys. It's for my project. I have been looking for the perfect couple and you guys are it." She said we looked cute together. That was a sign.

"Um we are just friends." Lacey responded very quickly. I heart sunk a bit but I didn't care I still like her.

"Really? It doesn't seem like it" Katy replied.

"It's ok but we would be happy for you to get a picture of us." I told her.

I wrapped my arms around Lacey's shoulder and she wrapped both her arms around my waist. It felt so right for us to be like this. We fitted perfectly together. Katy had snapped the photo and said she would be back. We waited for a while and until I saw her running towards us.

"Here is your copy. I have a machine where I transfer the SD card to my computer. It instantly prints pictures." She handed me two of the same photos and I looked at the very closely and I smiled widely. Lacey had looked and chuckled a bit.

"Thank you very much" Lacey thanked Katy.

Katy had the walked off and left me and Lacey alone. I looked into Lacey's eyes. She looked so beautiful especially looking into her deep blue eyes. I could really kiss her right now but it might be awkward since it's just me and her later and I don't know how she might take the kiss. I will have to save it for later.

"Want to head back" she asked. I nodded my head and we were off.

Lacey had showered and said she would get something to eat. I showered and then went straight to my room. I looked at the shells and admired their beauty. I went down the hall and sat on the couch. I saw Lacey walk through the front door.

"Hey" she said. Wow even at night she looks hot.

"What did you get" I asked.

"Mangoes, strawberries, carrots, and a some chips." She listed.

"Cool. Want to sit down and watch a movie?" I asked. I hope she says yes.

"Sure" she shrugged and sat down next to me.

I put my arm around her and she moved away. My heart really had sunk. I then felt her lifting my arm and she rested her head in my chest. She then grabbed my hand and held it with both her hands. I felt really warm inside.
