Chapter 18

*Lacey POV*

 I have been waiting in the waiting room for an hour. I replayed the events in my head. I remember walking with Jake at the park. I told him I would be right back, I was getting a smoothie. I started hearing yelling and screaming. I ran as fast as I can towards the noise. I then saw Jake hurting Louis. Next thing I knew his eyes were closing and I then screamed his name and ran towards him. He was still breathing but he wasn't responding to anything I was saying. I looked towards, Jake and he ran off. I immediately called the ambulance and they picked us up. Now here I am still waiting for a doctor to come and tell me everything is all right.

 "I would like to speak to Lacey Lynch" the nurse announced. I got up and walked towards her.

 "Louis is ok, he is just in pain. He shouldn't go to school for the next two days. He will leave the hospital in about an hour." I was relieved.

 "May I see him?" I asked politely.

 "Of course he just woke up" she led me towards his room.

 I walked in and he was lying down on the bed. I approached him and sat on the edge of his bed. He smiled at me.

 "Hey, how you feeling?" I asked worried.

 "Good, kind of" he said.

"I'm really sorry about what happened I never knew Jake would do something like that to my friends" I tear slipped from my eyes. Louis wiped my tear with his thumb.

 "Its fine, I didn't think he would do this to me..." his voice trailed off.

 "What happened?" I asked, I really wanted to know what happened between them.

 "Well, I was walking in the park by myself and I saw Jake. He came to me and said he doesn't like me spending time with you, so I told him he can't always hog you and expect no one to hang out with you except for him. He then said he would and I said as long as I'm not here. He then kicked me in between my legs and he kept punching me and kicking until I was knocked out" he explained.

 "I am so sorry" I hugged him and rested my head on his chest. He rubbed my back.

 "Don't worry, I mean nothing bad really happened" he said calmly.

 "Well I'm going to go get something to eat in the cafeteria. I will be back and then we can head back home" I got up and kissed his cheek. Whoa! I don't know what came over me.

 "What was that for?" he asked.

 "I don't know, but I felt bad what you had gone through so it's the least I can do to make you happy" I replied.

 "I am always happy when ever you're around" I laughed and rolled my eyes and went out of the room.

 We made back to my house, and the boys all went out Louis and hugged him. I love how the boys comfort each other. As if they were brothers but better. I went to my room and changed into pajamas. I decided I wouldn't go to school and look out for Louis. He was going to stay in my room so that I made sure he was okay. I couldn't leave him with the boys, they would probably hurt each other by accident and I didn't want Louis to get hurt again. I went back down stairs and saw them in the screening room playing video games. I saw Louis just sitting there and my feet made me walk towards him.

 "Hey" he said.

 "Hey, so what's up?" I asked.

 "Nothing really just watching the lads play" he sighed.

 "Let's go to my room. Maybe we could do something fun." I said.

 "What kind of fun?" he asked.

 "I'm not sure. Maybe I could play you my guitar and we can sing together?" I suggested.

 "Ok" he replied.

 We went up and sat on my bed. I grabbed my guitar and tuned it a bit. I started strumming and I got carried away... as usual. I started to sing and I felt like his eyes are on me. I looked up and he was staring at me. He smiled very widely and I don't know why but I started to blush.

 "That was just amazing. I mean you sing like an angel but better" when Louis told me that I felt my stomach was filled with butterflies.

 "Tha-tha-thanks" I stuttered.

 "No problem, Love!" he exclaimed.

 "I think you should rest so they you could feel better. I promise to take care of you so you will be staying in my room for a while" I said.

 "Um ok but I don't really want to trouble you" he sighed.

 "You're not. It's partly my fault for what happened." He leaned in closer to me.

 "Love, I told you none of it's your fault" he said. Our faces were so close together that the only gap between us was our lips.  Louis leaned in closer to me and he was about to kiss me until we were interrupted.

 "Am I interrupting something here?" Harry asked. I heard Louis groan and he walked up to harry. I heard him whispering something but I couldn't hear them.

 "Sorry about that. Um want to watch a movie here?" he asked nervously.

 "Sure" I said.

 We sat watching the movie and I looked up and he was asleep on my pillow. I smiled at how cute he was when he was asleep. I thought to myself for a second. Do I like Louis? No I can't, I promised myself I wouldn't really fall for a guy or be in love. Well I'm not in love but I don't know. It's obvious he likes me but I don't think he would be in love with me.  I don't want to think about it now. I pulled the covers on me and went to sleep without a simple thought in my mind. I dreamt of Louis while sleeping. Wait what?!
